okay - this episode was just on on Wednesday - (i watched it last nite - taped it - but missed the 1st 8 mins or so) --
anyway --- this was an interesting episode -- (even tho i'm not sure what attracted Ent to this place b/c i missed the beginning) -
the one thing that i don't understand, is why none of the characters commented when their weapons fired and passed right through the 'inhabitants' -- did they think it was a fluke? what did they think of this? or were they not paying attention? i mean, i know Reed was hit early on, but did Archer and everyone else just NOT see where they were firing?
i just thought that was a little odd.
a bit predictable too - when they wanted Trip to fix the computer center, then Rene's character told his daughter that she wasn't to tell them anything -- then they find that the ship had been there a lot longer than 3 years -- knew what they were gonna say -- holographic images --
umm - didn't DS9 already do this? that whole society that was holograms?
this episode seemed a little disjointed in places - like it couldn't decide if it was going to be about Trip and him liking this girl, or her liking him, or about the ppl on the planet and their 'story' that didn't jive --- i understand multiple storlines, but this was just odd -
one more question - why does there always have to be one character who always attracts all the female attn? that is SO cliche it's not funny -- can't we have one series where some of the other characters are involved in things? don't even the writers get tired of the 'same old same old'?? <sigh>
