Anyone else notice the extreme lack of merchandise based on stargate or stargate sg1. I have seen some pieces but i really want to get some sort of model of the stargate itself and the DHD anyone know where i could locate it?

thanks

Can't agree more.

Some shows, ST:TNG as a prime example, just about everything possible can be bought, from mugs, clocks, cards to uniforms and models. For SG-1, we get cards and VHS/DVD...

There ARE a few things available, jackets and patches and the odd mug etc., plus a few of Allans products which ARE fully licensed. See some of the other threads in this category for more details.

Hi Ed

Try eBay, they have a great range of stuff that you have to bid for. I think there's a model of the stargate and the DHD up at the moment that was about £40, and lots of trading cards, photos, patches and bits and bobs and thousands of vids and DVDs.

Some of the collectables can fetch quite a price though, but some can be bought outright. Give it a look!

Cheers

Model on EBAY

Had a look at the model of the stargate currently on ebay. It dosnt look well made missing alot of the glyphs and stuff, hopefully mgm will release proper models and stuff in the next year. I would see them releasing stuff if the stargate sg1 film is made, will be interesting

is there any way that we can get something with out using a C card. I mean i don't have one and they always ask for one

I would imagine that any respectable trading outlet will accept a personal cheque for mail orders.

Just cheque the websites for postal order options.

HOWEVER, this will only apply for traders within your own country. Probably all other countries will be outside this option.

There is a POSSIBLE option for another method: find a trustworthy, good-natured fellow SG-1 fan with a credit card, and ask them to buy, and pay them by cheque. But again, you would need to find someone in your own country.

i know as exchange rates can be a pain in the ass. As i had to give a friend $10 to do something for me. By the time it all got sorted out i ended up paying $30. But then again in some cases i don't mind how much it is as long as i get it. Like to be a sub here i just wanted to know the uk-australian exchange rates so i could send money for this site.

You can also get international bank transfers, but they can be quite expensive, say 10 UKP per transfer. Which for a 3.50UKP subscription would be ludicrous.

For 100UKP of merchandise it is not so bad.
