Jonas?!?

Hmm, I don't trust this guy. He seems to have an agenda of his own from time to time, albeit helping the SG team somewhat save the day.

I believe that Jonas has great intentions for his people ~ no doubt, but what are we to do as people of earth when people want to blow it up 100X fold? This episode runs fairly similiar to the Cold War in the 1960s ~ Jonas' home planet has two warring nations struggling for world dominance.

What does everyone else think? Cold War??!!?!?

It was definetly a reflection of the Cold War. I thought that was really interesting. I think Sam mention that in the episode didn't she?

About Jonas:
His hair scared me. I don't think I could trust anyone with hair like that.

I hope he accidently gets taken over by a Goa'uld.

It does sound like a Cold War situation. However, Jonas certainly didn't help matters by stealing the Naquadria (sp?).

Do you mean as seen in S5? I'm pretty sure he has it cut for the next series, and I don't like that haircut.

He's not done anything worse than Teal'c, has he? Simply swapped sides when he saw one was better than the other?

all of them have had their little shades of grey moments

teal'c switched sides, lied about the existance of his wife and child, stole tech when he came to earth with jack, along with teh intelligence and knowledge that he possessed about apophis

daniel way back in the movie lied his way onto the mission by promising that he could translate teh glyphs which he didnt know if he could at the time.

jack lied about daniel's death in the movie, along with what really happened to ra. jack also ordered the iris closed in the other side, knowing full well that he was killing alar

none of them are perfect, and doubtless neither is jonas. i and we'll find out for sure in about 10 days.

Hate to be picky, but you don't seem to have included Sam in your list? :p

D'oh. ok sam too

lessee, she rigged her reactor to explode although she didnt' want to and she built the bomb that bauer ordered her to do.

The thing with sam...with the exception of her refusing to put down her weapon in fifth man...she pretty much plays by the rules.

we can also add hammond to that list in a way....he lied to the baddies in enigma to keep them from taking the tollan, he keeps covering sg-1's tush when they're bad.

lol, just wanted to see what examples you'd come up with! ;)
