anyone see this?

it's a pretty good movie -

and it's not far off from the book - which is EXCELLENT, btw!

i mean - it's off enough that you can spot some of the differences, but not off enough to infuriate you like Jurassic Park or something --

Kenneth Brannagh and Robert DeNiro --

any other thoughts??

(Highlander - I just altered your title for clarity, because I am planning to add some other Frankenstein titles to this forum, hope you don't mind)

I liked this movie well enough, it was fairly close to the original source material, and superior to Coppola's Dracula, which came out the year before. I have always liked Ken Branagh, and while he may have camped it up a bit too much in this, I still thought it was enjoyable.

From IMDB:
Dr. Frankenstein creates a simple creature from various body parts. The creature turns into a monster when Dr. Frankenstein rejects him. Sticking close to the original novel, Kenneth Branagh guides us through the story of Frankensteins quest for knowledge, and his creatures search for his "father".

Great movie, I see it after read the book.
And find it cool. :p

I haven't watched this in a while --

Still a good movie though --

Mostly, I was intrigued by the book itself - it was a great story - (and far superior to any of the poetry Mary's husband Percy ever penned - man, that guy was just bad) --

The story was so nicely done in itself, as long as it wasn't completely re-written, a movie would come out well - ie: don't make the monster green w/ a square head and bolts in his neck -- honestly, DeNiro's monster was far creepier and scarier than any green guy -- the 'really' scary monsters seem to be more 'human' -

and I just like Kenneth Branagh! ;)
