Yeah I also think it was the first season...I like the scar..its cool!! ;)

AH the scar polemic again!!! Tha scar is havong people talk!!!

here is what I've read on the subject. In the first season, we saw Jack with multiple scars. ( c.f. picture above) For some reason, RDA's characters always get hurt on that particular eyebrow ( MacGyver did a lot too) . BUT the scars we saw in season 1 were not permanent. THE scar we all love appeared at the end of season 2. For some reason, they ( they being THEY, you know... the ones who make all the decesions...) decided to keep it. The scar is "made" by the make up artists. It is not one od RDA's scar ( I'M sure he has some of his own with his tendancy to love extrem sports !!!)

I hope that answers you question. I don'T rmember what particular episode it appeared though.

I just watched 1969 and it looks like a cut appeared in the right place in this episode. Could this be the famous scar?

ol

all this for a scar!!!!!!
wat is the world coming to? lol

(nah im joking!id be like this if u know who had a scar!)
so continue!

Yes! I think it was in 1969!!!

And I'm sorry I can't get a better picture. we don'T actually see the scar...

The famous scar first appears in the season 1 episode, The Broca Divide.

WOW! Thanks guys! What a response!! Is there anyone in the world who doesn't love that scar? It makes Jack look so cute! Keep posting!

Thanks

what ep is that pic out of? I think that was the alternate reality Jack from "There But For The Grace of God" who, due to the more immediate battles with the Gou'ald across the country, was a lot more beat up.

Liking the "look" of that alternate Jack may have influenced RDA to push for the beaten up look that was adopted post "1969"... ?

gees I though it was a real scar like Harrison Ford's scar on his chin (which I used to explaind to myself was from the time young Indiana used the whip for the first time..even though the scar appears in every thing he's in)

I think it was explained that way in the movie tie-in book. Writers take that sort of liberties when penning the books that novelize movies.

The unsung heros of the makeup trailer do lots an' lots of stuff for the show.

Sj's pic of O'Neill's scar has gotta hurt....ouch....

but its a scar so i am *very* confused why there is so much hocus pocus about it. I hate to say this but maybe i should put some pics of the scars i have. They *are* pretty stinning cause my cat is the reincarnation of the DEVIL. aka Charlie. I have been shredded and and scratched...even on the face...AAAAAHHHHHHHH..save me from certain doom....

but IT IS very mysterious HOW O'Neill got this scar...bet it was that Anise...she looks like a chick who'd have a cat fight ...only kidding....

Tha scar is so special because it happen to be making the man even cuter... Well, that's my explination... I can't speak for others!

OK, everyone has mentioned some episodes, but I remember a scene in 'Demons'. Right before Teal'c is pushed into the lake, Jack tries to get up and help when a guard hits him with the end of his axe (or stick).
It could just be the fact that RDA is a little far-sighted, or perhaps he doesn't have the timing down for a "hit to the head." At any rate, the scar's just *sexy*.
