Better without transporters?

Is Trek better without transporters to save the crew when they get in a jam? Sure, they usually find an excuse as to why the transporter won't work if it's important to the plot, but I like seeing the shuttle pods more often.

I like seeing the shuttlepods more too, and they can still use the Transporters to get out of an emergency.

I just hope that we don't see any more shuttles falling down holes!

In the other series' we used to see the characters discussing things in the turbolift on the way somewhere, in one episode a handle even appeared so Jean-Luc could stop the lift and talk longer!

I've noticed that these kinds of discussions now take place in the shuttlepods instead. I think that works better.

I like to see the transporters in action... All those ways the transporter was modified to do anything.... even make toast ..LOL

Good to see them going back to basics
