Read any good stories lately?
We hope you've been taking notes!
Do you want to tell the world your favorites?
Now is your chance. It's time for the second annual Stargate SG1
FanFiction awards. We had a great time last year showcasing some of
the best of the best.
And we're ready to do it again.
But we need YOUR help!
We will be accepting nominations in 85 categories. Any story is
eligible except for the winners and honorable mentions from last year.
There are a few changes to the categories from last year, including a
number of new categories. We'd like to take a moment to mention two of
the new categories especially. By popular request, we have included a
category for "Best Series" this year. Another new category is called
"Best Quirky Story": this is for those stories that are truly one of a
kind. Something completely different. As the definiton of "Quirky"
will always be somewhat subjective, and it's difficult to offer
examples, all nominations in this category will be reviewed by the
team before being accepted.
How to nominate a story? It's very easy.
Take a look at the available Categories at
http://www.SG1-Awards.com/2002.html
Think of the story YOU think best fits the category and fill out the
nomination form. Nomination forms will be available from 4 March.
The form asks for the exact URL of the story (This part is important.
If the URL is invalid, so is the nomination). As much as we'd like to,
we simply do not have time to search the archives for stories. We need
the exact page the story is on, not just 'It's on Heliopolis'.
Nominations will be accepted from March 4 through March 31.
We have just a couple of rules:
Anyone can nominate a story in any category.
Authors can nominate their own work, but MUST state on the nomination
form that they are the author. This information will be kept strictly
confidential.
Unfinished or in-progress stories can NOT be nominated this year.
Stories that won an award in 2001 cannot be nominated again. Honorable
mentions from 2001 will be eligible next year, but cannot be nominated
this year.
Any stories that were nominated last year but did not win, CAN be
nominated again this year.
A full set of the rules is available at
