The following message was sent to Channel 7 on 4 March, 2002. I am awaiting their responce.
To Whom It May Concern,

I would like to enquire about the airing of the program Stargate SG-1. Can you please tell me when it will be returning to air in NSW, VIC and in SA?

Can you also please give an explanation as to why the show has experienced sporadic intervals of air time, particularly in SA where Season 4 of the show has taken longer than a year to be aired and is still not complete. Also on the East Coast, why were the first 3 episodes of the 5th season aired and then the show taken off?

This on and off airing of the show during seasons is very annoying for fans of the show. The Australian Stargate Fandom is becoming increasingly disillusioned with the way 7 is airing the show.

The show rates in 10th place in Australia (TV Week Magazine). For a show that is so popular, why are the fans of the show being screwed around with inconsistent and irregular airing of seasons?

Eagerly awaiting a responce.
Sincerly,
Shelby Schofield

Hmmm. nice. gets across our message in the POLITEST way possible. Still allows the pleasure of a few well meaning words too eg. screwed.

Nice. I like it. No mention of C4? Or their absence from our chrissie card list?

Who'd like to take bets on whether or not they will reply?

Anyone?

:rolly2: :D  ;)

oh, Shelby will get a response but it'll be one of those "thank you for your interest ....." nothing type of responses. They don't really give a ......

Channel 7 gets together with Channel 9 for regular let's-screw-the-punters meetings. The only decent shows on 9 get shown after 10:30 but only when 9 feels like it.

I must again say a huge thank you to my very good friend Josh for keeping me sane during this difficult period. It may not be the best way of watching season 5 but it's a lifesaver :) :) :)

I assume thats the edited down, nice version not the one you sent them. Anyway nice try Shelby, but I don't think you'll get a response (or at least one you want).

Ive gotta say, thats very well said Shelby. Its gets the point across without being rude, but they will get the hint, not that they will really care, but still, we've gotta prove a point!

The Responce:
Dear Shelby

Thank you for your email,

As programming differs from state to state, for any inquires regarding
your local television programing you will need to contact the Channel
Seven office in the state that you live.

Although it is definitely on the way we have no listing for the return
of Stargate SG-1 at this time but keep watching Channel 7 and we will
let you know, through on-screen previews, when your favourite is due to
return.

Happy viewing!

Kind regards,

The Team at i7.

This information is true and correct at the time this email was sent.
Any changes made after the time of this correspondence will not be
reflected here.

Same ol' , same ol'....
:(

just wondering Shelby..........

where did U send it and could I copy & paste it to send another, uh, few copies to them .........   ........ daily :D

maybe from my various accounts ........... :p

Well, the thing is their website doesn't exactly give you an email address. You click 'Contact' at the bottom of the screen and a form appears for you to write your comments in. I think it sucks how they wont give out their email address. It's just so they can control what gets sent to them.

Your than welcome to copy the words and put your name at the bottom. You'll probably get the same responce though.

I'm thinking about ringing Channel 7 and asking to talk to someone in TV programming.

reckon we can get some sorta snail mail addy as well ?

:p:D  :aliengray

Southern Cross Television Launceston

Should we give them prank calls? Like play the stargate theme and then hang up? :D

Do they have automated machines on the phone? Cos if they do it might defeat the purpose.

automated machines usually have either ppl or an answering machine at the end - in this case I prefer the answering machine :D:D:D - can we ? can we please ??!!? :D :aliengray

So you spend an hour on hold or pushing 1 just to play a tape which will do nothing to them. Sure go ahead, it'll be funny. Or you could play a stargate quote that seems appropriate. It would be better if it was a live person.
