"These are the voyages of the T'Pol Trek Enterprise. It's mission is the seek out new ways of exciting young males and get them to drool over a Vulcan.
To boldly show T'Pol in sexual situations that would make even a dead Vulcan blush."

<WHOOOOSH>

Seriously... this is getting embarrassing. What IS the premise of this show again?

Are you watching 'Fusion' then?

Or does it get even worse than that in some later episodes?

Let's face it, all American TV is like this, sex sells, advertisers pay for TV programmes, advertisers want sex in TV programmes. Also young males apparently have the biggest spending power, research tells them this, and make the major financial descisions. And the 'all important' ratings tell them that they want to watch this kind of thing, because they do watch it.

The problem is, is that all they want to see, and should programmes only appeal to the masses? Continue this to it's ultimate conclusion and all we would get is sex, american football, baseball, soccer, and wrestling. No wonder Star Trek says that TV died out in the 21st Century.

Long live the BBC (and PSB companies), even though they have faults, and increasingly need to make programmes they can sell abroad, at least they are willing to experiment and make programmes with a more limited appeal.

And I thought more digital channels would bring us more choice, just seems like more of the same thing to me!

Brannon Braga says:

"Sensuality is sexual tension," he said. "And there's a lot of sexual tension between Trip and T'Pol and Archer and T'Pol."

"You see our people in their underwear. You see Archer in the shower. There's an episode ['Acquisition'] where
the Ferengi take over the ship and
Trip spends the entire episode in his underwear, running around the ship like Bruce Willis."

"Rick [Berman] and I have been allowed to bring our own sensibilities to the show in a more natural way, which we haven't been allowed to do in some of the other shows."

"I would also not be surprised that, within the next six to twelve months, we will have our first run-in with Romulans."

We've seen more "sexual tension" lately than action or exploration.

Well said... we want more exploration not sexual tension...
