This is a chance for all you 'Thunderbirds' fans out there to talk about this really F.A.B! show - sorry about the pun!

Just for your information, according to the offical 'Thunderbirds' website, the phrase F.A.B! is going to be in the next edidtion of the dictionary.

My favourite character is Virgil tracy, how about any one else?

:rolly2:

Thanks, I figured that one should be started, so here it is!

You're a Scott Tracy fan, right?

:rolly2: :rolly2: :rolly2: :rolly2: :rolly2: :rolly2:

Nothing wrong in that, besides most people do tend to go for Scott, but it's always been Virgil for me!

 :rolly2:

I prefer nosey parker..... Just me of course..... what was your favourite episode/movie.... i liked crablogger...

Hard to choose becaus ethey are all so great, but I didn't really like 'Terror In New York' because pour Virgil got shot down & hurt - wish I could have nursed him back to health!

 :crying:

Sure looks that way & I hope that many more decide to come here to let them be none as a 'Thunderfan' - offical title for 'Thunderbirds' fans!

I voted Parker, easily the most interesting character.

Out of interest, since you are a fan, I was part of a discussion about what F.A.B. stood for. The general consensus was that it didn't stand for anything, even though S.I.G. meant Spectrum Is Go. (Captain Scarlett and the Mysterons)

Is that right? Is it just short for Fabulous, a very sixties expression -- I'm surprised that Fab is not already in the dictionary -- 'Ab Fab' (the TV sitcom), and Austin Powers uses it continuously.

Voted Parker. He is soooooooo funny. He always makes me laugh when I watch Thunderbirds. Must be my odd sense of hunour.

annette :D

i just ordered thunderbirds on dvd, loved this show. i loved all of the characters:rolly2:

The origins surronding F.A.B are that when Jeff Tracy was looking for a call sing like 'Roger', 'Over' etc,., he wanted something short & that hadn't been used before & so he thought of FAB & decided to spell it out & so the full stops came in to add effect to it.

According to the offical 'Thunderbirds' website F.A.B! will be in the next edition of the dictionary because 95% of the people who voted wanted it in!

Technically Thunderbirds isn't an animated show, but what the heck! ;)
I voted for Lady P! :D

A joke for you guys :-

Lady Penelope came home and was suprised to see Parker in her bedroom.

"Parker?" Lady Penelope asked
"Yes M'lady?" Parker replied

"Will you remove my top?" She asked
"Yes M'lady." Parker complied

Next she asked "Parker, remove my skirt."
"Yes M'lady" and Parker carried out her request again.

" Parker remove my underwear."
A little nervious, Parker sliped off her under-garments.

"Now Parker" She began
"Yes M'lady?" He asked
"If I ever catch you wearing my clothes again you're fired!"

true that is the definition of F.A.B by Gerry Anderson, but in the book that I've got it also mentions that Jeff Tracy gives that explaination for the phrase F.A.B too.
