Hostilities between the United Federation of Planets and the Klingon Empire reach a peak.
The Klingons created here are the sum of every prejudice you can name, not the noble race they later become. The Organians are the complete opposite, being more than human, onipotent beings of great power and wisdom, but reminded that they too were once like us.
John Colicos as Commander Kor makes this episode his own.
At the end of the episode Kirk says that humans think of themselves as the most powerful beings in the universe. He continues that it is disturbing to find that they are not. Kirk must be pretty disturbed on this mission so far then: Charlie X's people, Talosians, Balok, the builders of the 'Shore Leave' planet, Trelane, the Metrons, and now the Organians too!
