Passing this on for my friend..
Dear Friends of Roddenberry.com and Lincoln Enterprise,
We would like to welcome you to the new RODDENBERRY STORE. The Roddenberry store is the new name for Lincoln Enterprises and extends beyond for secure e-commerce transactions. Thank you for your patience as we have been building our store. We are now open and eagerly await your visit. Many of you know our merchandise, and have been loyal customers for many years. The Store at Roddenberry.com is very different from our old online catalog. The look and layout, much of the merchandise, and ordering have been made easy and safe, just point and click.
Majel and Gene Roddenberry started Lincoln Enterprises in 1968. Majel has always been the driving force behind the company, and has dedicated much time and creativity trying to fill the merchandising requests of the Roddenberry/Star Trek Audience. Over the years she has represented Lincoln through the mail order business and by going to conventions. We hope to continue both of those tradition methods of bringing you merchandise as well through our new site, which has worldwide capability of the Internet.
In the last few years Lincoln Enterprises has been somewhat dormant. Majel has been involved in numerous other projects. Some orders were taken, of which some lost or incorrect. For this we apologize and want to let you know some of the steps we have taken to bring the Roddenberry Store into the present.
Roddenberry.com is the concept of Eugene W. Roddenberry, Jr. As the son of Majel and Gene Roddenberry, Eugene spent most of his years working on many of the Star Trek shows. After college, Eugene relocated to Toronto, Canada where he dedicated himself to Earth: Final Conflict. After four years of trying to correctly represent the Roddenberry philosophy, Eugene knew he had to leave the show. Over the years Eugene has seen the needs and heard the numerous requests for new merchandise. These requests prompted him to bring Lincoln Enterprises, now The Roddenberry Store into the new millennium.
When first arriving at the warehouse, things were in a disorganized state: equipment was antiquated, merchandise was disorganized and orders were going unfulfilled. Eugene and the new management spent six months organizing the warehouse. During which we re-discovered many of the classic pieces that haven’t been offered to the public in nearly 20 years. After doing a complete inventory of the warehouse, the business was restructured and re-staffed. The old technology (collating machines the size of VW Bugs) was replaced with modern copiers. Everything has been computerized and brought updated. The site officially opened on January 1, 2002, but with the birth of any website, we needed a test time to debug all the problems. At this time we have fleshed out the bugs and are working at full potential.
So welcome to the Grand Opening of the Roddenberry Store! Your loyalty and patience has been appreciated. Hopefully, you find the wait worth it. We have some new pieces to offer such as the Star Trek: Enterprise T-shirt as well as some amazing classic pieces that haven’t been offered in many years. As always we have every script Star Trek has ever seen. These are great for the fans, collectors, and aspiring writers. In the near future we hope to offer more new products for all the new Roddenberry shows. So come and see, and tell us what you think. And as always we appreciate your love of Star Trek and your loyalty to the Roddenberry name.
Thank You!
