Shockwave

Starfleet had better start fitting the Enterprise NX-01 with seatbelts, because its intrepid crew are heading for a 'Shockwave.'

That's reportedly the title of the Enterprise first season finale, currently set to air on May 22. 'Shockwave' will begin shooting this Wednesday, April 27, under the supervision of veteran director Allan Kroeker.

Kroeker has helmed numerous installments of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager, including the final episodes, 'What You Leave Behind' and 'Endgame.' In addition to directing 'Fight or Flight' and 'Rogue Planet' earlier this season, Kroeker has called the shots on series such as Roswell and Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda.

The Enterprise cast and crew were recently out on location filming the third-to-last episode of the season, entitled 'Desert Crossings.' As previously reported, this episode will feature guest appearances by 'Highlander' actor Clancy Brown as a charismatic alien leader, and real-life U.S.S. Enterprise crew members Timothy Whittington, Sara Elizabeth Pizzo, and Robert Pickering.

'Desert Crossings' was written by science advisor Andre Bormanis, based on a story he devised with co-creators Rick Berman and Brannon Braga. Bormanis penned 'Silent Enemy' earlier this season, in addition to Voyager episodes such as 'Human Error' and 'Imperfection.' The episode is currently scheduled to air May 8.

Please note that this information has not yet been officially confirmed by Paramount Pictures, and until then should be treated as you would any other rumour.

Executive producer Brannon Braga said the episode would deal with the Temporal Cold War storyline. "The final episode will deal a lot with that, as will the first episode of next year, and you'll learn a lot more about it."

Rick Berman:

" Brannon [Braga, Co-producer] and I are going to be writing it [final episode]. Hopefully, we'll start on the writing after my movie [ST: Nemesis] responsibilities thin out a bit, It will deal with the Suliban. It will be a cliffhanger. It will introduce what I hope wil be some very surprising and new elements into the series."

According to the The Official Site of James Horan, the actor James Horan will appear in the Season One finale episode currently titled 'Shockwave' as the mysterious 'Future Guy' who first appeared in 'Broken Bow.'

The episode will actually be a so-called 'cliffhanger' episode, the story will be picked up in part 2 (the first episode of Season Two.

At this year's Grand Slam, Enterprise co-creator and executive producer Brannon Braga spoke a bit about the upcoming season finale, revealing that it will be a cliffhanger revolving around the mysterious Temporal Cold War. "The final episode will deal a lot with that, as will the first episode of next year, and you'll learn a lot more about it," he said.

You beat me to posting that!

It just appeared on TrekToday, but it makes sense anyway since it is going to feature the temporal cold war and the Suliban again.

did it... i received it via an email this morning.. and had not had chance to post it yet

I hope we see Silik, I think he's a great character, and if they give him some good stories, he could turn into the best villian yet.
