****Starting a new topic - discuss the character Nick here.****

(and if someone reminds me of his last name i'll change the thread title)

<thread titled changed - thanx Dru!>

Awwww poor Nick! No one's posted in hid theread! Ok So I will.

Nick is A Ex-Cop who quit the force when his partner was killed by a bad cop. Nick was married but his wife couldn't hanndle being a cops wife. Nick now live's in Paris with Amanda.

Ok now I'm sure someone else has seen the show so come on and post or I'm just going to keep talking to my self here.

you may end up talking to yourself a lot --

i haven't seen enough eps to know much about him --

convince DarkCity to come chat w/ you -- she's seen more of this than i have ---

After quitting the force Nick joins a friend in some sort of private investigation/security agency, while in paris he and amanda try to open a bar. I never really saw it opened the series ended. The sparks between Amanda & Nick never really took hold because of the series end. But the way it ended I don't think anything would have happened between them anyway.

Really? I thought they were cute together....Ok l'm I the only one who thought the ending of the show was kinda lame?

okay - hold on -

now, i didn't see much of this show, but weren't Amanda and Duncan still friends? so - wouldn't Amanda still be kinda interested in haning out w/ Duncan? if so - then why would there be any form of 'shippiness' btwn her and Nick?

man - i really hate the lack of continuity btwn spin-offs -- if she's still D's friend - she should mention him and then there should be an 'on screen' mention of 'Duncan and I had a falling out; we're not 'seeing' each other anymore.' -- ya know?

give the fans something to go on ---- grrrrr

Yeah I know it bugged me too that they never said ANYTHING about Duncan or Richie, or Methos! Ok yes Joe was in two eps but do they say anything about anyone else? NO!

And it was weird that there was shippiness between Amanda and Nick....but they were kinda cute together like when Amanda would get arested and Nick would pretend he didn't know anything about it....

And I STILL don't understand where Lucy came from or went! I mean for all of Highlander Amanda deosn't say one word about liveing with a mortal best friend but The Raven starts and Lucy and Amanda are like sisters! They Suddenly Amanda fakes her death and moves to France with Nick and no talks about Lucy ever again! What happend to Lucy?!?

sounds like a YAHI -- they don't have those - no way --

Lucy disappeared too? didn't know that - dang - they just get rid of everyone --

and if Lucy knew Amanda was immortal, then why would it matter if Amanda faked her death and ran away?

this show just gets more and more irritating - and that's Highlander in general, not just Raven - grrrrrr

Okay - so - Nick was really an immortal, right? (or so I've heard) - and he was poisoned, or something, and Amanda knew he was supposed to be immie, so she shot him ---- and he was upset - did I get that right??

Someone wanna expand on it??

Ok so here's what I remember from this ep (I haven't seen it in a loooong while so I may miss something)

Some guy Amanda knew a long time ago is a cyber bank rober in the present. He kills the brother of a friend of Amandas and Amanda and Nick are looking into it. The guy ends up poisoning Nice with some really horrable stuff and Nick is in a LOT of pain and it turns out he's dieing and theres no cure.

So Amanda fights and kills the bad guys and runs to Nick who is lyeing barely alive and Amanda is all crying and stuff and picks up Nicks gun and says shes sorry then shoots him.

Nick wakes up finds out he's Immortal and that Amanda's known since the moment he first walked into her bathroom. Nick is REALLY ****ed off about Amanda not telling him of giveing him a choice and yells at her that its not a gift it's a curse then storms off with this voice over of something like "How can there be room for love if there can be only one?"

I think I got most of the importent stuff down...

Ok now my problem with this ep. How can Nick be Immortal??? With how many Immortals he met and not one of them would bother to tell him maybe just to **** him off since he very planly has major problems with Immortals? Doesn't make sence. And if Amanda knew he was Immortal from the start then why did she alway freak out about him getting killed? Wouldn't she know he would just wake up and be ****ed off?

Damn plot holes....

What probably happened was that they tossed that bit in at the end when they knew the show was gonna be cancelled.

Pretty lame if you ask me, and if they were trying to build up a 'love story' btwn the two - they should just do it --

Nick probably wasn't even going to get hurt like that in the ep, but since they were gonna cancel the show - they tried to go out w/ a bang and ended up w/ a tiny pop ---

If they'd done it right from the beginning - they might have had a chance ----

What I don't understand is: if he was going to die from the poison anyway, what use was there in shooting him?? Was it only to spare him the pain? But then why didn't Amanda shoot him earlier?

From my understanding - one must die a 'violent' death to become immortal - and somehow, apparantly, painful as it almost had to have been, poisoning wasn't 'violent' enough --

So, apparently, to become immortal (if you're pre-immie) you have to die in a fight or by gunshot or something for the 'immortality' thing to kick in --

Basically - a cop out so they didn't have to explain how immies became immies ----

Definitely I think the ending being like that was because they were cancelled, so I suppose they do a fast get away. :(
I enjoy Nick's character, he was cool. Ok, handsome too. ;) My only complaint with this series was that they never bring Methos to make a guest appearance. Well, they never bring Duncan too. They bring Joe, that make me so happy. :D

Krystal :p
