Two Towers - Extended DVD

I have the first extended edition, an absolutely amazing DVD, and I can't wait for the 2nd and 3rd!

Of course they do. Do you know about the hidden easter eggs?

I'm so jealous. I only have all three unextended.
Can someone please post the added materials in all three DVDs.

How and where? I mean it just makes the films longer. I can look some of it up on Youtube if you want.

Heres some of them

I think its the third one, I could only find it with Dutch subtitles but thats fine. I couldn't get the one from Two Towers though.

I don't know about anyone else but I barely noticed the extra scenes. I would have to watch the first film again in it's theatrical cut and then the extended to really compare.

I have the Special Extended DVD Edition box set, which in addition to the extended DVDs contains 2 disc Appendices for all 3 films consisting of literally hour upon hour of interviews, docos etc. revolving around Tolkien and the LOTR films.

Quite fascinating stuff and it's packaged quite beautifully. One of the best presented Boxed sets I've ever seen in fact and better yet I got it heavily discounted at the time...

I recognized all of the new scenes (some of them were just as well cut out, I thought, as they were pure inventions of the film-makers, while others restored important details from the books). But then, I saw each of the movies several times in the theaters, then on the first DVDs, so there wasn't much chance of anything slipping by me, even with a poor memory.

Have you guys found the easter eggs on the DVDs?

Wait... I should really read my earlier posts... Always useful :)

I've got the same as you Gollum. It sits very nicely on my shelf with my copies of the books.

Only just watched it for the first time last weekend.

Have to admit, I actually thought it was a bit dull - I was waiting for all those little cues from the original Bashi cartoon version:

"I can't run all the way to Isenguard!"
"You almost felt you liked the place?"

Don't remembering hearing those or others, and instead found the film dragged somewhat. Also, found the dialogue a bit flat and rambling at times.

The first film was great, but this one took some patience to get through. Might have been better to watch the unextended version. :)
