Hey Allan and Richard,

Have you guys seen the Corin Nemec interview from this months Xpose mag. In it he says:

Plus, I am totally into all that convention type stuff and have my fingers crossed I get an invite to the Gatecon event in Vancouver this September and anything else that's going on Stargate-wise.

Interesting, don't you think?

Yes, we have already seen this.

We are seeing what we can do.

What would be intersting???? IF MS were to consent....what if he AND Corin got to share the stage.

Now i'm not suggesting this to diss anyone but...there are a few folks that don't like the character of Jonas...maybe if he were on the stage with someone else, maybe it could help people be a little politer?????

Now I for one would love to see Corin at any SG convention and him and Michael would be great.
There would at least be some great questions for them both!

:rolly2:

I just want to say, that if anyone was "less than polite" to any of our guests at the convention, then they would be "less than politely" asked to leave !

Corin would be more than welcome at Gatecon, as would MS. But I do agree, having them on the same stage at the same time would be awesome.... Maybe another time hopefully

I think it would be interesting to see how the fans would react to him. Whether they welcome him with open arms or not. I personally would have no problem wiht him going. Maybe it would give a clear insight into how he intends to portray the character in the future and what he thinks about the fan reaction to him.

I think it would be great to have him come, the more the merrier. It would be great if MS could come too, and have them on stage together. I have a feeling that MS won't be joining us though, which is truly too bad, but I'd love to meet them both. They are all just actors doing a great job on a show we love. I appreciate their willingness to share their time and energy with us and hope we can all respect that. I for one can't wait to see what happens on the show and how Corin does with his character. If I get to meet him at Gatecon I'll consider it just another wonderful moment at the con. See ya all there!! SS

I'd love to see him too! And if he will be attending any conventions in the future I just hope people who don't like the character of Jonas Quinn won't give him a hard time. I hope they can distinguish between the actor and the character he's portraying. I was a little bit worried for Lexa Doing attending SG-4 in february, because I thought some of those obsessed MS fans would give her a hard time. I was really glad everyone was polite and appreciated her coming.

OK, I know everyone is going to bash me on the head for this one... But being as I am (you know... A bit slow LOL)... What is the connection between Lexa and MS ?

OH ALLAN, HONESTLY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:

**THWACK!!!!!!!**

Lexa is MS's girlfriend

**THWACK!!!!!!!**

PS I'm terribly glad it was I who was able to administer the first thwacking

:D

Allen, you didn't know?????????????????????????????????

We've known for over a year! Ever since they met on Andromeda.

*gasp*

And you heard it here first!!

OK... So i've got a few bumps and bruises from people bashing me about the head :dead: :dead: :dead:

Truth is... I didn't know. Until 3 weeks ago, I'd only heard about Andromeda, and never seen it, let alone know who the hell Lexa Doig was.... But Now after watching a fair bit of it, I know who she is (Boy, do I... Yummmmmmm)

LOL, poor Allan! Hope your head's feeling better now...:D
It was just that I saw people posting on the net when they heard about Lexa accompanying Michael and stating they didn't want to see Lexa at a Stargate convention!
BTW, they met when Michael appeared on Andromeda...it's one of the few episodes I watched...:D :D

I have just purchased my Gatecon tix - and I for one would love to see CN there. Hope he comes!

Gatecon invitations

I have no objection to Corim Nemec attending Gatecon, but I'd probably choose his panel time to go for lunch. The actor does nothing for me, and I don't think the character will, either.

On the other hand, if MS were present, I'd attend come hell or high water.

Corin

I think from what I've seen of him on the show so far he's doing a great job and I'd love to see him come to the con. I haven't really seen him do anything else before and only watched his old show like twice, but I think he fits in nicely and gives us a new aspect we haven't had in a while. I know Michael Shanks won't come to Gatecon, at least it's highly unlikely that he would, but even if he did I don't think that should stop Corin from coming. He has every right to be there just like everyone else that's in the show or works for the show. As far as I'm concerned everyone should feel welcome to come by and say hi and give us the chance to thank them personally for the great work they do on the show. I would love to meet the whole crew and give them a round of applause for all their hard work, they all deserve it.

Peace, SS

Frankly, I resent the implication that anyone who did not like the character of Jonas would be "impolite" to the Actor. Some of us actually *do* know the difference between a fictional character that we really don't care for, and the reality performer who was hired to portray him.

My personal opinion, to which I am entitled: I think Jonas is a big, sucking vacuum on the program that varies between being boring and being a smug Mary Sue. He has no complexity (eating bananas and watching the Weather Channel are quirks, not character) and there doesn't seem to be any sort of chemistry between him and any of the other SG-1 team members. He seems to be having his own show, off on his own, even among the rest of the crew. McKay would actually have been a better choice as a quirky 4th member of the team; for all of his annoyances, he had very clever dialogue, his quirks were entertaining, no matter how annoying they were; and he had real chemistry with the rest of the crew. Even *NOBODY* as a 4th would have been preferable to Jonass.

That being said, I recognize that Corim Nemec is not Jonas Quinn, and my dislike of Jonas as a presence (or vacuum) on SG-1 does not make me have irrational longings to be rude to a professional actor. Anyone who believes otherwise is projecting a need for some serious reality check.

Leah
