Btw - nothing mentioned here is a spoiler - all just speculation and random ideas that jumped into my head as I was thinking about this, so please, no yelling b/c I've ruined an episode, really, I haven't. I have no idea what Joss is planning. It's all for fun!
Rogue Demon Hunters, Inc.
A new BTVS/Angel spin-off from Really Bored Productionsâ„¢. Several of the underused and 'said goodbye' characters from the two popular shows have joined together to fight Rogue Demons... no wait, that's not right, they've joined together as rogues to fight demons, yeah, that's it...
Starring:
Nicholas Brendan as Xander Harris
Alexis Denisoff as Wesley Wyndam-Price
Christian Kane as Lindsey MacDonald
James Marsters as Spike
Elizabeth Rohm as Kate Lockley
Premise:
Intro:
Wesley's been 'kicked out' of Angel Investigations for various reasons and has moved to a little suburb just outside LA where he bumps into Kate, who is currently working as a bartender. Wes walks into the bar dressed, again, in his leathers and sees Kate, approaches her and they begin to talk. While they are talking about 'old times' and Angel and catching up, a familiar, sad voice is heard across the crowded bar. Wesley looks over toward the tiny stage, only to see Lindsey perched on a stool, softly singing a ballad. Kate inquires about the singing man, but Wes doesn’t answer.
Lindsey walks to the bar after his song, and sees Wesley. He talks with Wes for a moment, doesn't mention anything about Angel or the past, just says 'hi' then leaves.
Wes and Kate discuss their current employment situations and decide that they could work together as demon hunters since they both know about the wacky ways of the underworld, and Wes has some magical background. Kate's been doing reading on demons and such and has decided that she believes and is willing to work with Wes. So, they set up shop - probably out of Wes' apartment, and they're not very organized; it's just the two of them looking for strange occurances in the news and such, b/c they don't have a 'vision girl' and are reliant upon whatever they can find.
Wes and Kate are working on something at Wes' apartment - where they've set up a desk, and extra chair, and a filing cabinet - and there's a knock at the door - Kate answers and is confronted by the man from the bar. Lindsey enters and says he saw two guys snooping around out side Wes' building and thought he should inform Wes. Wes says thanx, and looks out the window, but sees nothing. There's another knock on the door and Wes goes to answer. He opens and finds Xander. He welcomes Xander in and is preparing to shut the door when a bleached vampire steps to the threshhold. Wes recognizes him and refuses to invite him in. "There's no way William the Bloody is coming in here!" (Figure Wes knows about William since he's a Watcher and William's pretty notorious.) Xander says to let him in, b/c he can't hurt anyone - and explains the 'chip' in Spike's head.
Reluctantly, Wes allows Spike to enter and Spike sees the demon Kate and Wes had been researching and he says he knows how to kill it. Wes and Kate let him come along, Xander and Lindsey too (don't know why - if someone has an idea toss it in), and they discover they all make a pretty good team and might be able to work together as Rogue Demon Hunters. Spike, of course, thinks this is a ridiculous name, but Wes insists and says he's in charge and will call it what he wants. Spike doesn't care, really, he just wants to get paid.
The Team:
Wes, Kate, Lindsey, Xander, and Spike have now all teamed up and are now working as "Rogue Demon Hunters" in the little suburban town outside LA.
Just a bit of fun, but it could make for an interesting tv show depending on what happens between now and, well, later...
