Just which of the cast portayed themselves as having the most consistent 'Human' nature- Temper tantrums, expressive feelings, faults, natural humour etc.
All the things that show them as being really alive.

I'm finding it difficult to answer this (and the Voyager one). What I can say is that even the most alien characters had human features in Trek. In fact, most of the aliens are portrayed as having some human aspect, but magnified or amplified beyond what we normally would expect -- the Klingon anger and warlike ethos, the Ferengi greed, the Romulan inscrutability, the Vulcan logic, etc. This is IMHO why we can relate to Trek aliens so well. I reality, I don't expect we would be able to fathom real aliens' motives.

Data's childlike aspect is particulary appealing. When Riker first meets him in 'Encounter at Farpoint' there is even a reference to 'Pinoccio' thrown in there. I think I will go for Data...

I voted for Riker, but I am not really sure why.
I think he was the one member of the cast that really seemed to act out his emotions... Hmmm, I think I'll have to think about this a bit more.

Well I chose Beverly Crusher because I think she shows quite a range of human emotions throughout the various seasons.

She seemed to me to be the 'A' typical working widowed mom that you would find in normal society today.

I have to agree with stripe, i think beverly was the most human crew member.

More KUDOS to Dr. Beverly Crusher!!!:rolly2:

Hey BonesmcCoy .....we have something in common :)

Human?

I said Data- because it seems that the Trek writers give the most human of traits to those characters that are supposed to not show emotion or not be human - Perhaps as a way of showing things about ourselves because they can show those 'human' traits in a more raw and open way.

Welcome to Star Trek, Boranon!

I think this has been a comon trait. Which is the reason I asked the question. The human crew have often been more alien in attitude and/or robotic in nature than many of the things that could be forgiven for being different.

Until one gets to Enterprise. But even there the Vulcans are showing more attitude than their human counterparts.
