Top Ten Reasons Angel is really Batman

Hey, I have had this thought on many occasions over the years I have been acquainted with Angel. He is just like Batman!

1) Only comes out at night
2) Scares the snot out of criminals
3) Is doing good because of a tramatic event in his past
4) Has group of young gifted people surrounding him in his quest
5) Protects "his city"
6) Has a close but odd relationship with a policeman/woman
7) Has a really cool car! (or maybe not - did they leave it in Pylea?)
8) Finds it hard to share his feelings
9) Wears black a lot
10) .......


Ok so I ran out of steam, but I am sure there are plenty more reasons, feel free to add your own!

he still has the car -- that's how they got back from Pylea -



and there have been several 'Batman' references in Angel over the 3 seasons --

ie:

Spike <immitating Angel> --> "To the Angel-mobile. Away!"


hehehe - love that line!

That Spike scene has just got to be the single most funny part of Angel to date. I am laughing just thinking about it!

I noticed a lot of Batman references - especially early in Season One. There was a scene with Kate in the first ep she was in, that was very similar to a scene in the first Batman movie when Kate says to him "Who are you?" and then there is a whole bit with a grapple hook/line that totally doesn't work, funny too!

yep -- i remember that too -

i've recently watched seasons 1 and 2 again and i picked up a TON of references --- it's kinda funny -- but, then again, can be annoying -- (like the Wizard of Oz ref's in Stargate) --

Actually It doesn't bother me in Angel - it doesn't seem as contrived as the Wizard of Oz references in SG1, and, well, let's face it, he is quite Batman like!

it actually doesn't bother me as much in Angel - or didn't the 1st time around - b/c i didn't notice them so much -

but on SG-1 - ugh -- prolly b/c i hate that movie - Wizard of Oz - ick --

this Angel - Batman thing makes a lot of sense and is kinda funny when you think about it...lol angel as batman...hah :rolly2:

Oh I just thought of another one - he does that disappearing act just like Batman, you know, you turn around and when you look back... POOF! He's gone

yeah - well, Jarod on The Pretender used to do that too -

can't really think of anything else that relates Angel to Batman -- but, haven't really been watching much Angel - been hitting Buffy season 2 lately -----
