Why Was My Post Renamed And 'started' By Another Member?

I hope a few of you will remember this: a few week's ago, I started a topic called: Stargate Infinity (Spoilers... I guess). And quite a few people replied.

Now what do I find, MY topic has changed name to 'Stargate Infinity: The Animated Series' and now for some reason seems to have been started by 'Dave'. What's going on?

All of the replies I received are still there.

I WAS THE FIRST TO BRING INFORMATION ABOUT INFINITY TO THESE FORUMS.
I even emailed http://gateworld.net with the information (check: 'Animated Series is Infinity' you'll see 'Thanks to Pknuts for info')

Dave is one of the board admins. Rather than guessing about it, why don't you send him a post and ask him why?

I merged your thread with all the existing posts on the subject, since they are all concerned with the same thing, and it is confusing to have several threads about the same subject. The title was the title of the other thread.

When you merge threads they are automatically sorted into the order they were posted, and the thread starter is the person who posted the earliest post. That happens to be me because I was the first one to post anything about this animated series back at the beginning of April. (When no one believed it.)

You would also notice a considerable number of other posts are before yours if you read them. Including Boydo who works on Stargate. The thread was in the 'Stargate: Atlantis' forum because original rumours said that's what it was. It then became clear that it was not, so I moved it out of there, but I only recently discovered your thread on the topic.

I'm not trying to steal any limelight from you pknuts, in fact if you are the same 'pknuts' who posted the 'Impact' article at 'gateworld', then you are almost certainly the first person to clear up the confusion over this series and the 'Atlantis' series, and I actually posted that in the thread itself. You are definately the first person to give the name 'Infinity' to it here, but actually 'skydiver' beat you to it at 'gateworld' by 7 days!

I'm going to change the thread title for you, but the thread starter has to be the first post, it can't be anything else.

I am the same Pknuts that posted on gateworld, but I didn't send in the 'Impact' story. I sent in the 'Dreamwatch' story (3 days BEFORE skydiver) called: 'Animated Series is Infinity'.

Actually i find it qute strange that gateworld would post an IDENTICAL news report 3 days after mine (skydiver's one doesn't really tell you anything new!).

I appreciate you realizing that I was the first to give the Animated Series the name Infinity in this forum, and thank you for changing the post title.

I was the first one to merge two threads about Stargate: Infintiy, becasue Spacemonkey started another thread with the same topic. So blame me!
Dave had another thread over in the Stargate: Antlantis section and put it over here in General Discussion too. So actually this thread now consists of three originally individual ones.

I'm just sorry I upset kpnuts, it wasn't intentional, I was just tidying up. Sandman was actually the first to give the link to 'gateworld' and the 'Impact' articles, he put it in another different 4th thread, which I can no longer find, but it said that 'Impact' magazine would be running the story in it's next issue.

And sorry again pknuts, your gateworld post WAS 3 days before Skydivers.

To be absolutely honest: I don't think it's very important who posted what first. I'm also sorry if we upset you, Kpnuts. Sorry, like Dave said I was tidying up too.
Of course I too wanna tell people if I fid something out surfing on the net and usually hurry over here to post it...
Inn the end it's just great this board is generally up-to-date and we get the newest news...
