Mr. AtoZ, and more time travel.
Using an Atavachron, Kirk hears a woman's scream and succumbs to his usual weakness for the opposite sex by leaping into the portal and being lost in the planet Sarpeidon's past. Here he is accused of being a demon for materializing out of thin air, charged with witchcraft for talking to the disembodied voice of 'Bones' and imprisoned.
Spock and Bones follow the Captain just as incautiously, and find themselves lost in the planet's ice age. Here Spock becomes an illogical savage, emotional, meat-eating, and woman-seeking. Interestingly, we are led to believe that part of a Vulcan's ability to maintain their composure and decorum is a result of constant telepathic attachment to other Vulcans. I don't think this is ever referred to again, and it certainly doesn't seem to affect Tuvok and Vorik, lost in the Delta Quadrant on the USS Voyager.
