What is the name of this little red-laser Goa'Uld hand device ?

There was an episode where the Goa'Uld managed to brainwash some terrians. THese guys were given some little triangular hand devices that fired straigth red lines of energy.

I haven't found any site giving information about this weapon.

Err... I'm asking for your help.

I think it was very powerful, much more than a zat, but had a very low amount of usable energy (ammo so to say).

Well, since this weapon seams to be exclusive to the Zartac, why not.

I think calling them Zartac Guns or something like that will be enough until an official name comes out.

I tried to find a pic of it but couldn't. There aren't many pics of Divide anc Conquer around the net. I bet somone could ge a screenshot from a... DIVX, huh ? (starts to wristle away)

Btw, I realized that there's actually no name for the staff used by the Jaffas.

Do we also have to asume that it must be entitled Jaffa Staff or something like that ?

Finally I downloaded the quicktime short and bad quality trailer from http://www.stargate-sg1.com/home/episodes/clips_S4/divide.html.

It reminded me that this weapon was able to cut through two people !

I don't know why it's not used more often.

It is called a "staff weapon" in almost every other programme.

So that's why I'm asking this because I thought I missed the only episode where the weapon was given a typical Goa'uld name, like the Zat'nik'atel thing - happy to have finally found the complete name on a tech site !-

Zarcs - no. Shazster was suggesting that WE use the style of abbreviation that Jack uses - which is to shorten to the first sylable and "s". The weapon has never been named in any episode.
