Brad Wright talks about season 6

"In episode three, we are on a ship that crashes into the ocean and it floods."

So they've taken the hint about 'The X-Files' plots and have moved on to 'The Poseidon Adventure'...?

Hm, wonder if Poseidon was a Goa'uld too? ;)

Ripping off the plots of sci-fi movies is bad enough, but remaking cheesy 70's Irwin Allen disaster movies is really scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Future episodes...?

Hm, I detect a thread developing here: :D :naughty:

Spoilers for series 6 (maybe?)

* 'Beast of Prey' - Col. O'Neill takes a group of trainees out into the B.C. forests for survival training. They are picked off one by one by an invisible alien monster. Fearless Jack tracks down the... um... predator.

* 'Steadfast' - Sadistic smoothie, Col. Simmons and a band of N.I.D. agents take over S.G.C. holding hostage Sam, Teal'c and what'sisname plus some visiting alien dignitaries with a view to getting their hands on a sarcophagus. Daring Jack O'Neill uses inside knowledge of the C.M.C. to pick off the bad guys and rescue the hostages.

* 'Memory Man' - David Quail, a.k.a. Col. Jack O'Neill believes he is married to Laura a.k.a. Tok'ra Spice and living as a lumberjack in B.C. He has to get his memory back and return to S.G.C. and Carter.

* 'Sword Sprinter' - The N.I.D. have been making androids, some of which have escaped. Resourceful Jack O'Neill is called in to hunt them down and destroy them.

* 'Robo-Airman' - Jack O'Neill is captured by a group of Jaffa who blow him to bits with their staff weapons. Miraculously, he is not totally dead. His brain survives and is incorporated into a metal exoskeleton designed by Sam. He then has a personal mission to defeat all Goa'uld.

Any more ideas? Stressed-out scriptwriters are waiting for your suggestions now... :D

Best wishes,
Hatshepsut

and Corin Nemec's ability to hold his breath underwater is astounding."

See, even Brad Wright doesn't like him! ;)

Sounds interesting and one to look forward to, the whole ship thing is interesting consdering Atlantis and all ;)

I am looking forward to S6, sounds interesting :)

Maybe Jonas will sprout gills and go on to be the lead in 'Atlantis'.

As for movie ripoffs. I recall this science fiction movie that came out in the mid-90's. It featured a top secret US military base that had a circular device under a mountain. They could use the device, I believe it was called a 'star something' to create an artificial wormhole to travel to other planets. If I remember correctly the main characters were a highly professional, intelligent air force officer and an archaeologist who could translate any language.

Now THAT'S an idea for a TV series! It's too bad TPTB haven't seen it!

Well, if they'd like to follow up on your idea, Jobeth, we're auctioning a Stargate in our Closing Down Auction and Rummage Sale. It hasn't been used much, so it's genuine bargain, though it'll need new batteries given that it's been standing idle a lot lately...

Best wishes

Danny's got to get some spine after becoming a morf-cloud!

My new fav is the "Ascention Wireless" cartoon. Have you seen that? The TV stations overplay the commercial it's based on here in Chicago, so I get a huge kick out of it. AND it is so what the ep is rumored to be about! Check it out.

I think I've seen most of Leah Rosenthal's cartoons - Stargate ones anyway. Don't know if she does any others. They're brilliant :D I really like her style. :)
