here we go in the next series of how well do you know Star Trek the 'Next Generation'


Question 1

Why do Klingons howl during their death ritual?
 
The howl is not one of sorrow, but of victory for the fallen warrior. Klingons believe that the howl warns the dead that another Klingon warrior is about to arrive.
 
And we are off to a roaring start with point number one going to Dave.

Riva's three aides represent which aspects of his charactor?
 
ok now put those aspects into emotions his chorus consisted of

the first one is

woman/ passion

(I may have to sit this quiz out, I have a book and I've just discovered that the last two questions are the first two questions on page 28. I have a feeling that I know what your next question is going to be.) :)

I think it was a conference they wanted to blow up, but as for the place, I don't know. Dave may be right.

Nope sorry can't even remember the episode(if I've even seen it) so I've got no clue about the Question. Even with your hint.
 
Hmm after careful deliberation and some technical umming and ahhing I shall award you half a point Dave...

the word I was looking for was emotions :)

Question 5

What is the normal gestation period for a Klingon pregnancy?
 
B'Elanna's was about 3/4 of a season, or 9 months to you and me. But that was 'Voyager'.

K'Ehleyr (Alexander's mum) must have had a much shorter pregnancy, and one of the Duras sisters was pregnant too, but I don't remember much about it. The episode where Worf meets a future Alexander would tell me, IIRC.

I think Stripe is going to give us an answer shorter than 3/4 of a season.
 
Yeah I got that from B'Ellana's pregnancy so I guessed it would be off, not to mention that their child is 3/4 human. Alexander was conceived at around stardate 42901.3 and born on the 43rd day of Maktag 2366 but he was a quarter human and his mother was half human.
 
:rolly2: I should have known a pregnancy question would throw you males :rolleyes:

the answer is 30 weeks ...a normal human is 40 weeks....and no Im not going to argue thats exactly what 3/4 of a season is ...lol
