This is a thread for peole to generally talk about Gerry Anderson, his shows, work etc.

don't like to see anyone beg so here i am! i was on holiday over in France and i saw this UFO magazine, um....not very interesting but something!

yep! someone was actually readin it too! seeing as i'm on about UFO i saw the first five minustes of an ep yesterday then i had to leave, it looked quite good so i'll guess i'll av to borrow some dvds!

Crickey!

It sounds like they have better magazines out there 4 shows of his than what we do

they probably do, they have some really good magazines over there about general sci-fi with some good interviews in. i did try to translate them but i think what i read about one show in particular was just wishful thinking!

yeah it is. come to think about it i don't think i have ever seen any magazines realted to Gerry Anderson in the UK, well apart from a kiddies Thunderbirds one. i know they had a space precinct mag which lasted for about 6 issues but i never saw that advertised.

It is a shame that we don't have many magazines 2 do with Gerry Anderson & his shows over here :crying:

In fairness all of the comic versions have tried to incorporate designs for some of the gadgets and interviews with Gerry Anderson and others of the cast and crew

True, but round where I live, there doesn't seem 2 be many magazines at all, just the 'Thunderbirds' comic

The life of 'Fan Rags' is always dependent upon the popularity of the show they track.
Stingray has never been hyped like Thunderbuckets. So I assume that the market for a comic dwindled quickly. It is the fate of all such narrow scope comic.

If the likes of TV21 were still running- How many of the Anderson series could they still be running in parallel?

A lot I suppose

Saw whilst in toem yesterday videos of 'U.F.O' & another 1 of his shows 4 sale

Okay let us rephrase this a little. If TV21 could not run Gerry Anderson shows, what could they replace them with?

Other classic shows, I suppose that aren't Gerry Anderson e.g 'Star Trek'

That is a shame as in a book on 'Thunmderbirds' that I've got, they show some of the covers from there & they look very good indeed
