Hi,

I am the real Ryan Lee from Digi-rage. You may have read the previous post, from someone, who was using our servers, probably one of the old team. I will not take this, and I will find out who it was.

The Stargate MOD using the Quake 3 engine is just getting underway. We would like to recruit some people with experience in Q3Radiant, Modelling, Sounds, Textures etc. Any ideas for the MOD would be welcomed.

I appologise again for this person that did the previous post, I will find him!

Ryan

I'd be happy to help. I'm not brilliant, but I've got a friend who has lots of experience with Q3Radiant and would help me.
I started an SG-1 mod for UT a while ago, but didn't have anyone to help and the project was scrapped. I could probably transfer the levels over. I'll get back to you.

Hi!
I closed the other thread since it seems to have been some kind of joke...
Thanks for putting this right...

Hi,

Some of you have asked if I am the same person as the one who made the other false posts. Well I am not, you will just have to trust me. I contacted the few team members who are working on the MOD, and they all say it wasnt them.

But anyways, thats done and over with. Lets get the MOD rolling on. I have been working hard on it for the last few days, mostly on modifying the Q3TA engine for the game.

This Stargate community here will be a great place to find help, especially technically related, as I want to make it as realistic as possible.

Please if you are an experience Modder or happen to know one, please contact me at digi_rage@hotmail.com any help would be much apreciated.

I'm guessing you followed a referrer to your URL here from the links I provided on the other post, is that how you found the topic ?

Was it this one ?

I have Q3 (Quake 3 to those who asked), so would always be happy to playtest any of the levels. I've actually helped playtest a few mods, my favourite so far being a Half-Life mod.

Good Luck, you have a hard task ahead.

One word of advise. Try not to market the Mod as "Stargate SG-1", the PTB will aim to halt your progress if you do.

Sphinx, actually I got e-mail with a complaint and then found the forum.

Mod Progress Report 28/6/02

Website nearly ready to be uploaded and will be done in the next two days.

Storyline Complete

Still looking for modders. Mappers, modellers, texturers NEEDED!!! e-mail digi_rage@hotmail.com to join project.

I know you haven't posted it yet but what's the URL going go to be ?

oooohh, i cant wait. i know nothing about games or "mods" is it going to be like half life? i like playing that!

This looks very interesting....
I cant wait for it, I want to play it !!! ;-)

how long till its ready? we're getting impatient. and my jack clone wants a go, too!!

never ask when a mod is going to be completed, it'll be ready when its ready ;)

Forcing a release date may only lead to poor and rushed work and possable closure of the MOD. Let them do the work at their own pace :)

Besides, we may have a while to wait :)

Just an update on the MOD.

Great news!! We have swapped engines and are now going to be working with the Unreal 2 engine. Models and skins are being worked on in 3D Studio Max. Cut-scenes are being worked on in Electric Universe. As soon as Unreal Tournament 2003 demo is released we can begin working on Mapping and scipting. Plus the Unreal 2 engine has so much more potential, especially when it comes to creating a realistic staragte with effects. You wont believe the true power of Unreal 2...
