How did they get the Stargate into the SGC?

I mean from looking at it isn't the gate room kinda completly concrete? And the gate's big.
And when they had to switch to the beta gate how did they get that down there.

And isn't naquida heavy or is that weapons grade naquida like the one it took 2 jaffa to carry in, err, Upgrades. Cause if all naquida was really heavy then how did the locals on certain planets bury the gates and how did the SGC manage to transport the gate --> bit too heavy.

well?

Just a thought - but it the SGC was previously a missile launch site, right? SO they probably have great big shafts for dropping in great big bits of machinery and rockets and stuff...

spoiler!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hee hee, that question is answered in redemption 2, and its crucial.

they dropped it in with a crane. thru the top!!!

isn't it like a very very very long way down?

I suppose it would have to have a big way out if it was used for missiles.

hmm, still seems a little...I dunno, iffy.

And does anyone else think the sze of the gameroom chaged from the beginning of s1 and the film it got smaller and the window changed size, hmm, oh well,.

I think its only about 140 feet, which isnt too bad if you REALLY want it there. They'd probably put it in one of those carrier things, like in touchstone, and drive it into the cheyenne mountain entrance. Then drop it through the missile shaft.
