I reckon I've worked out who they are.

On a site, I read that we'd met one before, and a lot of people went straight to the outcome that they were the lightbulb creatures.
<<I don't mean to be nitpicking here, but it may refer to what the guy was THINKING when he said this>> He said we'd met ONE before. We've met at least 4 lightbulb creatures; Oma Desala, Shifu, Orlan and <<with a little poetic licence>> Daniel.
I think the Ancients are the alien life forms we met in Entity. We met only one. I was reminded of this by the technology encountered in Window of Opportunity <<an episode I rewatch as much as possible!!>>, which is undoubtedly from the Ancients. The fact the race was wiped out by a cataclismic event would explain why they were very wary of other races with the power to wipe them out. They were VERY advanced, by the look of the device they made in the storage room in Entity.
The device on the planet in Window of Opportunity was designed for human use, which agrees with the possibe discovery of the preserved Ancient in Frozen.

It aired this evening. usually the download isn't up until tomorrow or so.

I will say it was interesting and thought provoking, but not go into more until folks at least have a chance to see it on 'squinty vision', if nothing else.

Sadly, no. There used to be a site that was providing 80-100 mb versions, but it folded. It kept crashing it's server to due the bandwidth used and it got 'way too expensive to maintain.
