Louise Lawrence

I've read several novels and a number of short story collection by this author, and I've found her to be very intellegent and engaging. Her novels include "Children of the Dust", which was the first after the bomb novel I ever read and is still my favourite, and the excellent Llandor Trilogy. She can be a little preachy when it comes to issues of the enviroment and such, but she has a way with her words and a prodigious imagination, and I reccomend her highly.

So, anyway, has anyone else read any of her work, and if so, what did you think?

The excerpt certainly does seem engaging - somehow I have images of a more modern John Wyndham sort of plot.

I've never heard of her but she sounds intriguing.
