I just realised I never started a thread for Daria!

It's one of my favourite cartoon shows.

The writing and it's portrait of highschool stereotypes in funny, but one on fav bits has to be the end credits when the characters are dressed up as other well know characters/celebrities. :D
 
I love this show too. All the different and totally out there characters are really funny. They come up with some great quotes aswell:

Mr. O'Neill: You know what they say; A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down.
Jane: Not if you're diabetic.

Jane: [puts on Daria's glasses] "Hi. I'm Daria. Go to hell." [takes them off] It won't work. My face is too expressive.

Edit: Oh, and "Sick, Sad World" is really freaky and definetly very scary :D .
 
I think alot of thought actually goes into the characters.

On the surface they just seem like stereotypes: Jock, Bimbo Cheerleader, Snooty Fashion Club....

But some are given a bit more depth.

Like Daria's sister Quin. She's the exact oposite of Daria, totally obsessed with popularity, but deep down she doesn't like it, it's just being popular is the only thing she is good at, so without it she'd have nothing.

It the UK you can now find it on the Paramount comedy channel. I'm not sure if MTV airs it anymore, however it is an MTV production.
 
I think MTV still airs it,but I only have MTV on one tv in the house,and its not mine.It was on YTV but Ytv has a dreadfully annoying habit of moving there shows times around every week or two.
 
Oh I also forgot, Daria is shown on channel 5 in the Uk aswell.
I think it comes on over the weekend on a show called "Milkshake" or something.
 
I love Daria..watch it when I can..

if you have sattellite (sp?)

It comes on thsi channel called Nog..or whatever..It's a channel for nickelodeon (olderish/teenish audience during the eve hours).
It comes on twice..somewhere around 9 and then again at another later time I believe..( i could be wrong) ..

Or atleast they used to..they introduced another show..so it might not be on so much anymore :(..
 
arg,I havent been able to watch Daria in almost 6 months.Last one I saw was the movie where they were at some camp thing,and I never even got to see the end of it!

I miss watching Daria. It has been so long since I've seen it. Was a little angry when they put her in a relationship. It took away from the simplicity of the show.

Yeah, and it didn't make much sense. Though even people like Daria have relationships, it's just a little harder for them. What do I know right? ^_^
