1:20: The Hidden Memory.
Crighton is still in the Aurora Chair because he is blocking the memory of Gelina, and their time aboard the Zelbinian from Scorpius to keep her from being killed. Scorpius believes Crichton is blocking wormhole technology from him, and continues to torture him. Aeryn (waking up with D'Argo watching over her) finds out Crighton has been captured, and takes her prowler to the base to free him. She finds Gelina, who can tap into just about anywhere aboard the base. Gelina tells Crichton to think of the time they spent together when he is in the Chair, and she overlaps a picture of Crais, who then (just desserts) gets put into the Chair by Scorpius.
Eventually Aeryn gets into the cell where Stark and Crichton are being kept ("how many Peacekeepers do you know?") and they attempt to escape. Gelina realises John cares more for Aeryn now, and decides to stay behind. In the end, when Scorpius almost stops their escape, Gelina appears with a weapon to save them, and is shot. For what the Peacekeepers only see as a "tech," she is couragous, and gives her life for the crew. She dies aboard Moya.
1:21: Bone To Be Wild.
The crew comes to the aid of an alien woman (Ben Browder's wife; also ro-Na in "Look at the Princess" and Raxil in "Scratch 'n' Sniff") who it seems is being attacked by a swamp creature. She is actually a bone-eating creature, and the swamp thing is the prey. Left on the planet, she has eaten everyone and is starving. Now the crew of Moya is about to become dinner (the sound of bone crunching is all too real in this one). We find out Zhaan is a plant.
This epy is really the weakest of the season. It appears to have no reason to be in the series, and does not further much in the way of the show. The one important thing that occurs is that Aeryn befriends Moya's son, and names him Talyn after her father. This is the basis for part of the season finale.
1:22: Family Ties.
The ever loyal Rygel, dominar of self-preservation, strikes a deal with Scorpius to gain his freedom. Then (for some reason) he returns to Moya with, of all people, Crais, who asks for amnesty. It is impossible, at this point, to know what Crais is really up to. Peacekeepers clearly don't have any rules of forgiveness after they've been "contaminated" by other life forms. Now Crais has been, too, just as Aeryn had when he condemned her. Now the Peacekeepers are, in effect, his enemy. and his grudge against Crichton is, for all practical purposes, irrelevant; he is a fugitive as well.
The crew decides the only way to be free of Scorpius is to crash a pod into the Gammek Base, destroying the Aurora Chair (the crash of the base is one of the best effects of the first season). Chiana's cooks a last meal for everyone with their favorites. Zhaan gives a blessing for her friends. After D'Argo and Crichton jump out of the pod into space, it is up to Aeryn, in her prowler, to rescue them before they suffocate. As she is looking for them, she finds out Crais is aboard Talyn, who is ready to starburst away (Crais was the commander in charge when the secret project to create a Leviathan gunship was in progress). Aeryn's character has now made a 180. She tells Crais he can't separate a mother from its child; Crais reminds her that both he and she were separated from their parents at birth. He tells her that, should they meet again, he hopes the circumstances will be different.
The season ends with Moya moving away to look for Talyn, and D'Argo and Crichton in space, waiting for Aeryn to rescue them in time, if she can. :errrr:
