1.07: City of Roses.

A brutal assault on a young woman triggers memories for Jeremiah and Kurdy who then take separate paths: Jeremiah to find a mysterious vaccine and Kurdy to find his past.

What I love about this episode, that we know more about Kurdy's past. To see more of his background as a character, how his parents died and it was good to see him get peace of the nightmare he have and know the real reason why his father killed his mother and later commited suicide. That it was an act of love and not of hate. Very touching story.

And when he give the note he wrote to his father to Jeremiah so he can burn it with the note Jeremiah always make to his father. That was so touching. :(

One thing I forgot to put on my first post about the episode, love Meghan and Markus conversation. It was so touching, also love Markus Noah quote. It was awesome. :p

I can see why you liked this episode, Krystal. It did have more character building, especially for Kurdy, who until now, we really didn't know that much about.

I'm not sure about Jeremiah though, he seems to be a little manic; the way he ranted at Kurdy, then later said it was only a way of keeping him from coming with him. Kurdy had no intention of going with Jeremiah anyway, he was much to wrapped up in his memories and the puzzle of his mother and fathers's deaths. Jeremiah really believed what he said to Kurdy, he would have killed the skinheads if Kurdy hadn't stopped him.

Did you notice that the equipment that the vaccine was made with had a large "Vs" on it -- more Valhalla Sector references -- yet Jeremiah didn't ask anything about Valhalla Sector!

Character building is good, but Jeremiah wants to solve the puzzle of Valhalla Sector, and it drives him more than anything else, so it makes no sense that he didn't ask about it.

Good point, that was strange that he doesn't ask anything about Valhalla Sector. And yes, I notice the VS design in the equipment.

The first time I see this episode I find very strange Jeremiah's attitude specially toward Kurdy. Jeremiah is not always that way but there are times that he just let his anger explode. He had to sides, the guy that want to help others and the angry guy that he left out some times. Is a complicated character.

It's good that he's complicated. Heroes don't need to be white as white. Everyone has a different agenda that drives them. I was just putting myself in Kurdy's shoes. Kurdy still doesn't know Jeremiah that well either, but they are reliant on each other for their lives. If I was Kurdy, I'd be thinking, "this guy is a little nuts, should I really trust my life in his hands?"

Yeah, I agree. Also make the character more human because we tend to have both negatives and positives qualities. As for Kurdy, I'm sure that probably have cross his mind more than one time. :D
