Needful things

Another one of SK's books. This one I have to say is another excellent adaptation of the book. Found this really good and also brings your imagination to life.

Stars Max Von Sydow as Leland Gaunt, the shop who has many 'needful things' but you end up paying the consequences for wanting these things.

OMG!I watched Half of that movie(had to go to a horse show so I missed the end*sniffle*But atleast I won my classes at the show!) And I had to get the book to see how it ended!the adaption was(from what I saw) excellent!I loved both the book and what I saw of the movie!!!!!

I saw it a couple of years ago (its a TV movie I think). All I remember is that Max Von Sydow was excellent in it as the shopkeeper, Gaunt.

Each item that he sells satisfies a personal "need" for the buyer and in exchange Gaunt asks them for a favour, to cause some harm to another, that sets off a chain reaction of vindictive events that build to a crescendo.

The only person to see Gaunt for who he really is is the town sheriff (Ed Harris).

thats so cool!!And I like how in the book a few people before they die realize whats going on

It's a film that's been largely forgotten which is sad because it's a very entertaining film and Max Von Sydow's performance is wonderfully over the top as the sinister shop owner Mr Gaunt.
