A little more graphic than the H.P. Lovecraft book but very clever in it's own right and worth watching.

That's for sure! The original H.P.L. short story was very good and I have seen an illustrated comic book version of the tale. But the movie, WHOA!

Stuart Gordon pulled no punches in this movie, he made the film into a Lovecraftian nightmare which I highly enjoy watching, even the cast was perfectly chosen for this freaky and disturbing movie.
