TIMELINE TO THE FUTURE
one of the best extras ever to come on a dvd was the three parter "timeline to the future". I finally got around to do all the screencaps, over hundred, of richard dean anderson, amanda tapping, christopher judge, don s. davis plus the crew and all those great folks behind the camera, so there are caps on the make-up department, the sfx, construction department and lotsa other nice thingies there.

What's scary about the feature is:

Me.

They caught me giving Amanda Tapping her custom dog tags.

Yep, the gal in the black BDU's is this mod. With Amanda smiling and 'Bra'tac' smiling in the background.

So now you know ...

Assuming one might want to view any of these MS films where are they to be found?

I missed "Door to Door" when it was on the other night, but am hoping it will be shown again. As for the others, they don't look like standard TV fare. I think I could handle "Suspicious River," but only once

"suspicious river" is out on dvd and *should* also be out on video. however, orders were stronger than they thought, so now they are in delay with the delivery. easiest would be to get the dvd on ebay, but I really recommend to check your local video store first and hire to vid to see if you like it. you don't really get to "see" anything, but it definitely is not everybody's piece of cake.

"door to door" will be out on video sooner or later, and again, emmy screening videos are on sale on ebay (and I'm sure it will be repeated on telly).

hope that helps. :D

I found "Suspicious River" on DVD at Videoflicks.Com for $23. I'm thinking about it. My local vid store doesn't care much, so I wouldn't expect to find it there. I'll keep an eye on the TV schedule for a repeat of "Door to Door." Others of MS's recent films don't seem to be available anywhere.

Ah, perhaps in time . . .

:sob, sob: i never have enough money for that sort of thing. i did buy cube, though, coz of McKay.

Alright! I confess! I went ahead and ordered "Suspicious River." I will attempt to view MS's performance as a brutal villain as an intellectual and analytical exercise. All I can say is that I'll watch it once and see how I feel about it. I'll let you know if you should ever bother with it.

I've seen a couple of clips. It's a pretty dark movie.

I feel the same way as I do when I want to watch some porn

Remember -- this is an intellectual and analytical exercise. The sacrifices that some will make for the cause of MS fandom. :D

Suspicious River

Ok, I did it. I watched this film. Good thing that I'm very mature and grown-up and have a degree in Theatre and -- well, a strong stomach helps too. That, and my husband was there to hold my hand.

This is definitely NOT a film for everyone. Not that it is a bad movie. It is well made and well acted, but it is also dark, sordid, brutal and degrading. Not a film for romantics and those looking for sweet dreams.

As for MS's part in the film -- he was wonderful in a small but pivotal role as a brutal rapist. This is not the sweet Canadian guy we've all gotten used to at all and if he wanted a role that showed he could be something very different from conscientious geek-type, well, this would have to be it. Those who can lay hands on the film (it is available on DVD from Amazon.Com) need to watch the entire film to see all of Shanks' role, as well as to understand what the film is trying to say (which isn't all that much, of course).

If you are a "Daniel" fan who is not prepared to see him smoking, swearing, and doing some VERY BAD THINGS, do not watch this film. If you are interested in what MS can do as an actor, then this film is worth watching.

Also, appearing is Don S. Davis (and you were wondering what General Hammond does when he goes travelling :) ) -- no, no, one shouldn't mix actors and characters. Just happens that Don Davis and Michael Shanks both got parts in this film and both appear in SG1.
