Her books are well cool! When i pick them up i have to read loads of chapters at a time and sometimes can't put the book down! I also like harry potter who wouldn't! It's magical!

If you don't mind I'll move this to the relevant Authors page to keep things neat.

Personally I've only read Rapunzel (I nicked it from my grandson). I preferred the Grimm's version. But he seemed well impressed.

But the pictures were pretty

I really like her Girls in Love etc. etc. books. They are cool!

i have to disagree with that...Jaqueline Wilson is not my favourite author by a long way

I used to work in a school and one of the things I did there was buy books for the library. That's when I first read Jacqueline Wilson's books. That's when I first read a whole bunch of books aimed at young people.

I've read The Mum-Minder; The Bed and Breakfast Star; The Illustrated Mum; The Cat Mummy; Midnight and Clean Break and quite liked them. They are pretty well-written and well thought out and it got several students reading, which is the best thing.

I've not read any of the books that go in sets though.

I haven't even heard of this author LOL!

OMG, where have you been? She is one of the best-selling childrens' authors ever. My daughter, now 11, has been reading her stuff for about three years now and has got her entire output. I believe I'm also right in saying that she was Childrens Laureate at one time, but someone may want to correct me on that.

I've certainly read my fair share of Wilson books when I were a young'un -- and I think many a preteen/early-teens girl has read her books (and probably a few boys as well, I know of at least one that is written from the viewpoint of a boy). She certainly writes some entertaining and interesting stories that often (at least all the ones I read) deals with rather gritty, real life situations and events...things like living in a single parent family, dealing with bullies, living in a Children's Home, coping with step-parents, falling out with friends, relationship troubles, and even a death of a close friends. And what's nice about this is that it shows young children who might be dealing with such things that they're not alone. Her characters are often well-rounded, feisty and likeable types, too. I think I'll always have a soft-spot for Tracy Beaker, or Ruby and Garnet. I think the Wilson books were the lighter half to my Stephen King/Point Horror/horror film filled childhood :D
