"HOPE IS THE LAST THING TO DIE"
The eastern part of Germany is drowning. What has been built up in ten years under great personal sacrifices by the people is lost - in cities like Bitterfeld, people have lost everything - their houses, their jobs, their future - and now it's up to us all to make sure they won't lose their hope, either.
We are shocked by the extent of this disaster, but also touched and deeply impressed how people who have lost everything are so ready and willing to help and support each other.
Those people are in need - and you and us, we can help. PINK KHAKI asks you all to join the "BEAT THE FLEET" campaign - Sci-Fi Fans helping the victims of the flood disaster in Germany. It doesn't matter if you give $ 5 or $ 100 - every donation is a big help.
The next issue of PINK KHAKI will be out on August 25, and we'll have a special page dedicated to this campaign. If you wish to donate, you can do so by following the link below, it will lead you directly to the pages of the German Red Cross (German and English version available).
If you feel like it, keep us posted on your donation, we will daily update the money collected on the site (anonymous).
We also provide a specially designed banner to link back to the German Red Cross, and we ask all webmasters out there to join in and add the banner to their sites. It takes you 10 minutes to update your website - but it can make such a big difference to somebody in need.
