Can you get Stargate Dog Tags anywhere?

My friend desperately wants A Jack O'Neill Dog Tag and I offered to help look for one and so this is my attempt lol.

Well the easy way is to go to any surplus store or trader and have them make a set. All you would need is Jack's details (do some research under current military regulations for what a dog tag should include, I could get you some info on WW2 US GI dog tags but they've probably changed by now) That wouldn't be to hard to do

Try eBay, they sometimes have O'Neill and Carter dog tags.

here's what US GI's had to have on the dog tags they were issued with circa 1944:

Name
Serial Number + Date of Tetanus Inoculation
Person to notify + Blood type
Religion

You can put whatever you like on them. They give you examples of things that you might possibly want on there (military style, id purposes, entertainment) You can get current issue (what they use now) or you can get different styles (including the WWII notched) I believe they use the current issue on the show, the main difference is that the current issue use embossed lettering and the older styles use indent lettering. (Indent is kinda hard to read, the embossed looks much better) However I cant be for sure that is what they use on the show, since they have silencers on their tags, but I do believe they use the current issue.

You can also try going to a local surplus store.

Hi, I'm a new member (this is my first post everyone!!!!) and I know of a site where you can get totally customisable dog-tags for £4.99 (incl. postage - it's a set of 2 and you put whatever you want on them). You get five lines of text with whatever you want on them.

It's highly recommended (by me lol) as I've had loads from there. Me and my mates use them for holidays and conventions and 360 gaming sessions (we put our gamertag & score and the date on them when we have an all-nighter).

So yeah, you could have a stargate tag made and customised for yourself (e.g. O'neil on the top line and your name on the bottom line or something)

I do know that gidogtags does not provide trademarked tags. They have rejected Stargate replica dog tags. However, they will produce tags if you have obtained a license from MGM.

I believe the Stargate dog tags are the embossed type, which has raised lettering like you would find a credit card.

There is a company called Legends Memorabilia who sell all kinds of Stargate collectibles, including replica dog tags for O'Neill and Carter. They can be found under their Stargate>Replicas & Collectibles category.
