Looks like we could have some stunning graphic novels on the horizon. No doubt these books will sell out just as quickly as George RR Martin's Hedge Knight novels. I will have to get them imported unless I can find a UK dealer. I am very excited. Very, very excited.

This looks interesting. I've read George's short stories in the Legend books and liked them as much as I do the regular series. I haven't read Jordan's New Spring yet. I'm still waiting for the newest book in the series to come out. At this point I want to read George's books more, in fact I'm rereading the first three again. I keep finding new little details that I somehow missed before.;)

Heh, one of the company used to go around sf forums, "spamming" his images around, trying to drum up attention for them. Thought quite brilliant visually, it was a shame that his activity was so generic.

Another problem is possible that they are picking on the shorter stories, rather than the longer ones. If someone did Song of Fire and Ice in graphic novel format then I'd be interested - simpy for the reputation. But the Hedge Knight? Doesn't have the same sense of awe. In fact, anything but.

I've read the two Hedge Knight short stories in the two Legend books that came out. I liked them...maybe I should go see if the bookstore has those comics...although I don't usually read comics...;) :p

There is talk of a Song of Ice and Fire getting the graphic novel treatment. Mike S. Miller has said that he wants to do the project. I liked what was done with the Gemmell adaptations, it is a shame that more has not been done.

Would they just retell the whole story in graphic novel form? I'm not sure if I would be interested in something like that...

Oh, but I do love those stories!! I'm just not sure about graphic novels...

I believe I said somewhere else that I was rereading the first three. I keep finding little parts that I somehow overlooked or didn't catch the whole meaning of the first time I read them. What are some of your favorite scenes?

My favourite scenes... When you find out that Bran (and Ricken) is still alive. Massive relief there, especially when you consider that George killed Ned off. I will think on this and get back to you Ericka.

I am afraid I simply do not like the art in these books - far too slick and characterless for me. I suppose it appeals to its core target group though, but to me it seems like a very commerical modern DC-esque style. Just me.
