Having been trawling through my recollections of the older superheroes. I thought perhaps I ought to look at some of the newer ones.
FemForce is the product of Canadian producer AC Comics, a company that originally formed with the goal of reproducing many of the much older Golden Age Comics from the likes of Centaur and Fawcett.
Femforce, or correctly titled Federal Emergency Mission Force, started in 1985 as a quartely periodical featuring 'The first all-female super team'. Rapidly becoming AC's flagship title and is in monthly production.
Having said the comic was new, I have to confess that three of the eight women squad are very familiar, at least to anybody that is aware of Timely Comics. Ms Victory, She-Cat and Night-Evil. The first two are reasonable in that they are listed as having hailed from the thirties. Night-Evil, I recognise the picture of though I cannot remember the name from her original appearances.
The other five: Syn, Tara, Stardust, Colt and Rada are new to me.
