Now if you are a B5 completest like myself then you will no doubt have read the novels and comics that have appeared over the last few years. So tell me, what stories were your favourites and what ones sucked more than a hull breach?

My Favourites:

The Psi-corps trilogy (novels) - Gives good back ground info to the creation of the Psi-corps and history of Alfred Bester. Also fills in the gaps left by the show

The Centauri trilogy (novels) - Does pretty much the same for the Centauri as for the Psi-corps, but by the end of it you really feel sorry for Londo :(. Very well written.

Clarkes law (novel) - One of the first novels to hint at the future story plots in the show.

To dream in the city of sorrows (novel) - This chronicles Sinclair's stay on Minbar and his rise to Ranger 1 status.

Shadows past and present (Comics and graphic novel) - This tells of how Sinclair and Garabaldi first met, also lays the ground nicely for certain events in the show. Yes, this story like the ones mentioned above are all actually cannon and worth reading for that fact alone.

As for the stuff that sucked well only one novel comes to mind but I can't think of it's title. Will look it up when I get home :D.

My hubby bought me the Psi-corp trilogy. I haven't started it yet but I expect it to be really good
Have you read the Technomage(sp?) trilogy? I was just wondering if it's worth my time to read. I always thought the Technomages were a little strange.

Then my dear you truly did marry a great and wise man :D. Take it from me if you only read six B5 novels then make it the Psicorps and Centauri trilogies, you will not regret it :D.

The Technomage trilogy is good, not as much as the Psicorps or Centauri sets, but it is still good. It's quite heavy going in places and from time to time I did feel like slapping Galen and telling him to cheer the frell up, but mostly it's an interesting set of books. The story they tell spans from just before season 2 of B5 and I think it takes it up to just past the end of season 5, maybe even boardering on Crusade (I will let you know when I have finished the final installment).

Oh by the way, I did hear sometime ago that there is also going to be a Drazi trilogy, whether that's still an ongoing project I do not know.

Right, I'm off back to the Great machine :D.

Hey Tiffid(or anyone else who might know), I have a question for you.
In any of the B5 books was a cure for the plague found? If so which book. That's something that's always bugged me. I watched the show Crusade but it only lasted 13 episode(I think it was 13) and I knew they had to have cured the plague but I wanted to know how.

They do indeed find a cure for the Plague, I think it's actually documented in either the Centauri or Psicorps books, although my memory is a little sketchy with that. I do remember it mentioned in the Psi-corps trilogy that after the cure was found the crew of the Excalibur made a lot of money out of book sales and TV appearences :D.

COOL!! I'm reading the Psi-corps trilogy now. I'm starting the second book today :D

You should find the answer you are seeking in the very last book, how are you enjoying the story sofar?

Very interesting. I didn't know that the origins of Telepaths is found early on. I always thought it was Lita Alexander who finds out.
Nice Avatar by the way :D

Why thank you :D.

Yes there are lot's of nice juicy revelations in those books, it's interesting to see how certain characters from the show are slotted into this saga. When you have finished the second book, instead of reading the third part try to get hold of a copy of the B5 novel " The Shadow within". This takes place directly after book 2 finishes and tells of how Anne Sherridan met her fate at the hands of the shadows and how Mr. Morden became their servant. There is a link a link between this and book 2, but you'll have to finish book 2 first to find out what that is.

Here's both the US and UK Amazon links just incase anyone is interested in getting the novel.

US Amazon

UK Amazon

I never liked Mr Morden. I liked what Vir did to him :rolly2:
I'll have to go by the book store and look for that one.

Well I finished the Psi-corp trilogy and the Centauri trilogy and enjoyed both. I felt sorry for Bester at the end of the Psi-corp trilogy even thought I hated him in the TV series. And I always wondered about the Keeper that Londo gives Delenn and Sheriden for their son. Now I know :D But I still wanna know how the Drakh plague was cured. I know that it was but I'm just curious as to how the Excaliber and it's crew found a cure.

Oh by the way Triffid, I wasn't able to get that book you suggested because it's not been released yet. I'll try and pick it up when it is released though.
