With the impending Superman vs. Batman, Wonder Woman, yet another attempt at the Hulk and the recent outings of spiderman and X-Men. Are there any comic characters or mixes of characters that should not, or should never have become films?

For me they include:-
Dan Dare- There is no way Universal/Paramount could make a good fist of it.
Flash Gordon- If the best they could do with Flash was that spoof, I'd rather have the original Cine' shorts. Flesh Gordon was better!

i would have to say any. i have come to realied that if a movie resembles the comic by 40% it is lucky. The best adaptions of the comics of marvel and DC were limited TV animate cartoons in the 60's they actully lifted the stories from the comics.

Think I would have to disagree some here. The Batman series were quite close in feel to the comics of the early 60's, as was Superman.
I would also admit Captain America wasn't and Flash Gordon and Wonder Woman were not

Hi guys

Hey, I think that if Hollywood would ever get it's head on strait, it could make a good movie.(But as we all know it hasn't so far.) Spider-man stuck pretty close to the story line, but there were many things that didn't belong.( I personaly wish they would have left Mary jane out and put Gwen Stacy in) The Hulk looks pretty good so far. Dare Devil, I can't really say, I haven't seen it. Captain america, for those who have seen it, was very off. They also have already made one about the Punisher which I haven't seen.( and don't really wish to.)
As to which one's they shouldn't make, I would say Thor, Kaine, Carnage, and a few others.

anyone seen finding nemo.

The Batman series were quite close in feel to the comics of the early 60's, as was Superman.

That's because they used the Comic Books writers and stories. Bill Finger Batman's uncreadicted Co-creator wrote the Cloak King Ep's. The stories of joker's utility Belt and penquin tricking Batman into ploting a crime fot him also came from the comics. The story editor for the George Reeves Superman series was writen by the same ones who did the comics.

Just because those involved with penning the comics are involved with the film, does not mean the film is going to bear a resemblence to the comic!
Dare Devil for instance bears little relationship to the comics, yet the comic writer is in the credits as a co-writer
