what if the to'kra are evil, and are simply a undercover goa'uld unit sent to do recon on us humans? its entirely possible!!! and if anyone has any reason why it couldnt be possible please share!
Originally posted by Rowan I wish I could come up with one. The only thing that comes to mind on quick thought is the fact that Jacob Carter is now blended.
But if the symbiote can totally control the host, it could pretend to be Jacob using his genetic memory. After all, if it couldn't do it, the Tollan would not have needed to invent their natty little "Tweeky" vest...
[Hint: for anyone lost by the above reference, see "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century"]
I can just see Skaara running around saying 'beedee beedee beedee'! I thought he looked like Tweeky from Buck Rogers when I saw the episode.
Evil Tok'ra huh? Well.......I think that Sam would probably have an inkling that all was not well if Jacob was faking his obvious affection for her. She's his daughter and sometimes children have an instinct for such things. That's a big generalisation though.
I personally think that the Tok'ra aren't really all that different from their Goa'uld cousins. They are related and from the same species after all, even if they have evolved slightly differently over the centuries/millennia. I have a big problem with this Tok'ra attitude of 'death to all Goa'uld symbiotes' thing. You see, I think that if they managed it, they would then have the capacity to be as powerful as the Goa'uld. It's a short step from there to being like the Goa'uld. Power corrupts (and absolute power corrupts absolutely)
After all, they already seem to hold the humans in contempt over many things that they do......or is it that they just think humans are primitive by comparison? It's difficult to tell really. Either way it would lead to either contempt or perhaps at the least, patronisation. If they became powerful they might start off with good intentions, but after a while.......well, the road to hell is paved with good intentions!
