1:15 Ring of Truth

Theo promised Jeremiah and Kurdy a suitable reward for saving her life - a visit to a fabulous inn. Never one to make things easy, however, she has provided directions that leave them half-starved and out of gas. Fending off hunger with some wild mushrooms, they have some peculiar visions around the campfire but none as strange as the one Jeremiah has in the morning when he is awakened by an elephant. Kurdy dismisses that as a hang-over hallucination and they both forget about it when they finally find the inn brothel Theo sent them to.

Well, I have to say that this episode is one of the few that I find not so interesting. The best parts for me was the thing with the elephant and how at the end Jeremiah tells Kurdy that he was right and saw an elephant. And another thing I find a little amusing was Kurdy's fight. For the rest it was ok, but not one of my favorites. :(

I agree! I didn't understand the point of the story. The plot was muddled, and lost its way several times. There was nothing from the ongoing story arc this week. It seemed like they just found an elephant and were desperate to use it somehow.

Jeremiah really ought to have questioned someone about the odds of fighting before agreeing to fight for Polly's freedom. It was unlike him, and luckily for him we find Kurdy is pretty good at it.

He should have questioned Polly about her motives for reuniting with her daughter and the father, before he agreed to the fight. She was very selfish to think she could walk straight back into their lives. It would take a long time for China to accept her, and Polly should have realised and accepted that.

If she wanted to leave, why didn't she just run off anyway? If she went off with the circus, how were they going to bring her back?

If the circus was doing so badly, wouldn't it be more run down, and would they really need another mouth to feed if all she could do is paint and draw? I noticed that they could afford materials for her. And why did it take most of a day to put up the tent? They were putting poles together when Jeremiah and Kurdy arrived, and it still wasn't raised at the end. Those things are up in a few hours.

This one appear to be an episode that must viewers doesn't like.

Good points, I specially like the one about they found an elephant and wanted to use it.
