Whats ur favorite episode and why?

Serpent's Lair and Need are two of my favorites from S2. The first ep had wonderful dialogue and great action.

Need gave MS a chance to really show a great range of abilities, as did S3 ep Legacy.

In S3, New Ground was another good story with a fine mix of action and message (something that most shows don't do well, usually coming down too heavily on one at the expense of the other).

Another ep that has always appealed to me is S4 Absolute Power, although MS still plays one of the nicest, most amiable and polite villains -- is that something that is just inherently Canadian ?

Of the S5 eps I've seen, Ascension with Sean Patrick Flannery's very personable alien, is one of the best, giving us additional insights into the workings of the 'glow collective.'
Also, I liked Between Two Fires with its tightly plotted mystery revealing the turn to the dark side by the snooty Tollan.

im not sure if everyone has seen it but i absolutely love the cure!!! i wont say anything about incase some havent seen it in england, i downloaded it off the net and got to see it and it woz amazing, one of my favourite episodes!

The First Ones (simply because of the bandana), Divide and Conquer, Window of Opportunity, Solitudes - all for the high shippiness factor; the first couple eps of S6 because i loved the action in it

Havn't seen S5.

i know this thread is a bit old , but i usually don't make it into this room, so it's new to me!

anyway, one of my all time favorite epidodes has to be Cold Lazurus. I don't know if it is because i am a parent of a little boy or if it is just a chance to see RDA do something besides 'jack' for an extended period of time but that episode conveyed such emotion to me. the actress that played Sara is always terrific no matter what she does, and her father was awesome as well. the useless loss of sara and jack's marriage was tangible. early sam/daniel bonding fun as well.

Menance is also a favorite. daniel is at his best playing daniel, carter is all science, jack is shoot first then ask questions/justify and teal'c , is well, teal'c. rambo hammond is never a bad thing either. the last scene with daniel and jack is played to subtle perfection.

i hate to say it but i really didn't like summitt or last stand. they reminded me of a top that spins around really fast and furious then just stops all of a sudden.

Loved Cold Lazarus aswell! RDA was great and my eyes still sting every time I watch the scene in which his double is crying in Charlie's room with the boy's pyjamas in his hands, softly rocking forth and back. Excellent performance!!!
Loved the Daniel/Sam interchange!!! Daniel's little exctited dance when the crystal comes to life and imitates his face. Nobody can play an excited Daniel as well as Michael Shanks. *g*

I had a little problem with Daniel calling Jack a stupid SOB. Since they've known each other they fighted or ignored each other, disagreed or rambled. But it never got as far as in season four and five. Letting it end with Daniel's outright insult before he ascended left a bitter taste in my mouth.
The episode itself is one of my favourites though, too. Michael was as his best and I loved the performance of the girl who played Reece. Really outstanding for a 'character of the week'.

I agree. Maybe I was hoping for too much for this one: Daniel 'enslaved' by the goa'uld, the Tok'ra having serious problems...and a two-parter. Wow! They could've done a wonderful angsty-over-Daniel/action/hurtcomfort piece.
I guess it didn't live up to the big expectations fans had.

My fav ep has to be A Matter of Time. It makes you think and its SO intresting! I really like The Fifth Race. I also like both Jolinars memories and The Devil you Know. All great eps. Heck all of em are good, there are only a few I dont like!

Sam's my fav character and I love any Sam/Jack ship there is and think there should be more
