Gatecon Hotel Query

Heya!! Okay, so I'm a poor ickle Brit who has just dived straight into the deep end by purchasing a Gatecon ticket, having only been to British conventions before...

I have a query about the hotel reservations... I intend to share a room with a friend who is also attending Gatecon, and so would like a double room... When buying the ticket I checked the box asking for a hotel reservation, and so I would like to know how this affects me wanting to reserve a double room with the convention rates?

Anyone that could be of *any* help would be so much appreciated!!

I think, and you might want to check w/ some of the more veteran Con-goers, that all you really need to do, is email Richard Pasco (probably closer to Con time, but you might be able to do it now - not sure on this) and let him know your plans.

Hotel rooms

Richard usually handles the reservations. It's a bit early yet, so you've still got plenty of time. The 'Best Western Richmond Inn' is a bit place.

Usually each room in the convention block is okay for double occupancy and the cost for the room is the same for one or two people. This year it was in the $140.00 CAN range - your exchange rate will make a difference in that. What usually happens if you want to share with more than two is the hotel will levy an additional charge per head. Again, it's a bit early to know those details. We'll keep you posted here, on the website: GateCon2003 and on several of the email lists associated with Stargate and GateCon.

Just wanted to say thankyou to everyone who replied about my hotel query!! I was in a state of panic, but now I will deal with the hotel at a later date and will sit and calmly await the con... As if that's possible!!!
