Rumoured to involve a group of alien officers from the Takrit Order taking control of Enterprise while an ion storm rages outside. It's up to Archer and his crew to take back the ship from the intruders.

How many times has this plot been used? Too many to count I think! On the plus side, the aliens-take-over-ship stories are generally very good action-packed adventure stories, and I'm sure they can come up with a new twist.

Having just seen the 'Stargate SG-1' S6 episode 'Prometheus', maybe I should take that comment back, but we live in hope!

From Trek Today
When a lethal neutronic storm approaches faster than Enterprise can escape, the entire crew takes shelter in the most heavily shielded part of the ship -- the maintenance shafts inside the warp nacelles -- for several days. They also provide refuge to a group of aliens who aren't entirely upfront about themselves.

'The Catwalk' took eight days to film, with the shoot running from Wednesday, October 23, to Friday, November 1, 2002.

Was a good episode but ratehr slow in my opinion. Trip had a good role in it but we see archer and tpol getting closer..

ya what's with that? If anyone gets together (which I hope not) I'd rather see T'pol with Trip

Trip almost did a Captain Picard (in 'Starship Mine') taking back the ship singlehandedly, but I was pleased that they pulled back from that.

I liked this episode, but I still find them too formulaic. And there were a few nits that bugged me:

T'Pol lied about an old Vulcan ship. (I don't believe that she remembered it wrong.) More and more, I dislike what they are doing with T'Pol. She is becoming much too human. Spock was half-human, but was much less human than T'Pol.

Dr. Phlox said that Sickbay was shielded, and that crew members could be safe there, then proceeded to move all his sickbay creatures to the Catwalk. Why weren't they safe in Sickbay?

Also, did this storm kill all the creatures on the planet? Or were they immune like the Takrit Order aliens?

I'm also not sure why the Catwalk needed to be shielded from radiation either, if it reaches 300°C temperature when the Warp Drive is working, any other danger wouldn't really matter.

Points of question.

Didn't Trip almost singlehandedly save the ship from the Ferrengi?

What is the role of the ship's security officer, when the vessel is being invaded?

And dare I ask?
is it T'Pot getting more human, or the crew becoming more Vulcan?
