Moonlight Rising-Buffy Con in the Catskills

Hi all,

My name is Alice, I am one of the organizers of this con, Moonlight Rising-an entirely fan run event-to be held June 6-8, 2003 in Catskill, NY at the Friar Tuck Resort.

We are very proud of our line up of guests(and giddy, we are fans, after all) ....the guests are: James Marsters, James Leary(Clem), Amber Benson, writer Christopher Golden, and Anthony Stewart Head! We may have more guests to announce soon as well.

Some of the activities: Q&A's, Anthony and Amber will be doing photo sessions, signings, masquarade, improv games, and much more.

isn't that always the case? one con is always to far away for someone! or too pricey. I went to Shoreleave, that was a 10 hour drive, but it was the closest place where I thought I would ever meet James Marsters...now I am on a commitee with him as a guest!

Anyway, we have some folks coming in from Australia, England, Italy...kind of blows my mind, but pretty cool just the same.

I am sure it will be very well attended in such a convenient locale for many (and who knows? I might be able to schedule in a little jaunt to NY!).

Yeah - gotta say - as I'm already planning a trip to Gatecon, not thinking I can make this one - tho I'd LOVE too! But the Catskills are a smidge far --

I can make it to ShoreLeave - that's like 5 hrs away and Gatecon, which is in Vancouver, already started planning for - (it's a big trip - like my one big trip for the year) --

(not only that, but I don't get that much vacation time - yet)

Hi again!

We've just added another guest to our line-up...Adam Busch (Warren). Adam will be doing photo shoots and signings, Q&A, AND in addition he will be performing a concert on Friday night with his band Common Rotation.
