Hello ladies and gentlemen

Well, my birthday is nearly here and I will be getting quite a large amount of cash, with which I have decided to finally get the S1 boxset, which I'll probably get from Amazon .

But I do intend to carry on collecting (I am applying for a job soon, which would give a nice weekly earning to pay for it all, if I get in ;) )

So which sites do you use that are the cheapest and have reliable delivery?

The cheapest place I've seen is Play.com , which has the S2 DVDs for only £14.99 which is more or less £5 cheaper then Amazon..

Any other good places?

Thanks

:)

Well gents, in case anyone else is wonderihg about these my mum bought me the season one boxset form Asda in the UK for £45 (same as Amazon.co.uk )

However, Season Two and Three are being planned for R2 release, so far I have seen them listed at Amazon.co.uk, and at DVDWorld.co.uk.

Which is fantastic news! :)

Thre big question for S2 and S3 would therefore be whether they are simply the individual volumes 2-7 and 8-13 in a pasteboard box, or if they are going to re-package the DVD sleeves.

And !"£$% for them doing it, after many of us have spent a lot more buying the separate volumes!

Hey Pteppic

Yeah I have to agree, I think they should get things like this sorted out quite early on, I mean, a saving of £50 a season with purchasing through the boxset, it soon adds up.

If they are like the S1 boxset you won't get anything fancy, just some 3D animations in the menu and the episodes (no extras) I suppose it's quite possible they may change the package, depending on how it will look in the box set...

hey i just been on play.com and they have all box sets up to S5 listed the Season 5 set is £69.99 season 1 is 3£9.99 all the rest in between seem to be going for £48.99 reasonable prices, think i'll be getting some of them for christmas the release date on them is 25th december nicely planned release date for them all there huh?

it really does suck how they release the individual versions before the box set, the greedy monchers

Are you saying there are no extras at all on the R2 S1 boxset? I while back, before it was even hinted at being available I just went foreign and imported a R1 version - and it has a number of extras on it...

Hey Pteppic

No, just the episodes and some 3D stuff on the menus. The only selectable options you have are 'Play' or 'Select Episode' (which goes through this 3D sequence of taking you through the gate) Then you have the menu (on what look likes a dig) of all the episodes to chose from, once selected you have the choice of what scene to start from, I have not seen any extras....

A bit lame, but there we go I guess..

Despite saying that the R1 S1 boxset has extras, they are, as far as I can tell, the same as those available on R2 individual volumes 1-7...
