Help Please

I'm doing a Media Presentation on Sci-Fi and I was hoping you guys could help me out.

I need to know the dates for when all the Trek series started and ended and anything you know about older sci-fi like 2001 A Space Odyssey.

I'd be really grateful if you could help me out:D

There are some really good scifi encyclopedias around with dates like that for films and TV shows. For Star Trek I could find it for you in the 'Star Trek Compendium' and 'Next Generation Companion' but I don't have time right now. I can next week if no one else does it first.

I assume that you want the original US airdates?

very very very helpful resources would be the episode guides at www.epguides.com - they have summaries and original (US) air dates of almost all tv series you have ever heard of!

Also, for movies, www.imdb.com is a fairly reliable resource for original release dates for major countries.

Good luck with the presentation!

And Welcome

NBC aired "The Man Trap" at 8:30pm EST on Thursday, September 8th 1966. That was the first episode of 'Star Trek' ever aired. It ran for 80 episodes until June 1969.

The pilot episode "The Cage" was not aired. The second pilot episode "Where No Man Has Gone Before" was the third episode shown on NBC.

'Star Trek' aired in the UK on BBC1 during the same week in July 1969 that Neil Armstrong walked on the Moon (then repeated every week ever since!)

'The Animated Series' aired from September 1973 to October 1974 (22 episodes.)

'Star Trek: The Next Generation' aired from September 1987 to May 1994 (178 episodes.)

'Star Trek: Deep Space Nine' aired from January 1993 to June 1999 (also 176 episodes.)

'Star Trek: Voyager' aired from January 1995 to May 2001 (172 episodes.)
